Formation and Tactics for the new season

At this point the transfer market is closed, we know our current players, so I would say we will continue with the 4- 3 - 1 - 2 formation, which is really good one and suits our players but its very predictible since were are palying it since the Carlo era.

DIDA
Cafu Nesta Maldini Janku

Gattuzo Pirlo Seedorf
kaka
Gila Oliveira

I must say this formation is well suited for us, especially the diamond midfield. Also, is Maldini still capable of starting? In offense, Inzaghi must start. He's our only forward who is scoring at the moment and can't be benched.

DIDA

CAFU NESTA KALADZE JANKULOVSKI

GATTUSO PIRLO SEEDORF

KAKA

INZAGHI OLIVEIRA

This is a good first team but what about replacements
Who will gonna replace Pirlo
Ambrosini has just started to play again and from national team has come the news that he has some kind of injury
Who will replace Nesta and Maldini if they get injured again
Pls dont say Simic or Favalli

From what I saw yesterday in the Tim Trophy, Carlo is preparing Costacurta for that role, couse he played in front of the defense in both aginst Inter and juve!!!!!!!

Well I would have to say that is gonna be our biggest problem this year, everybody has a replacment maybe not so good but there is a replacment,But with the departure of Rui and Vogel,Pirlo is left the only one who can play the playmaker role in front of the defense, so i`m gussing seedorf will have to fill in case of emergency. and the worst thing that we dont have players to play 4-4-2 if pirlo gets injured for longer period.

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I'm not 100% convinced that Oliveira will be a star at Milan, so at this point I'd work to our strength in midfield. My lineup would be...

---------------Dida---------------
Cafu/Bonera-Nesta-Maldini/Kala-Serginho/Kala
-------Rino---Pirlo-----Ambro-----
-----Seedorf/Gourcuff--Kaka------
----------Pippo/Gila---------------

Gourcuff played in Pirlo's position in one of the friendlies. He is also better defensively than pirlo so yes Gourcuff can sub for Pirlo. He could probably sub for anybody in midfield..except Gattuso(if we are ahead)

I'm sure if we were desperate, we could play 4-4-2 ...

Cafu-----Nesta-----Maldini----Serginho
---------------------------------------
Gourcuff--Gattuso--Seedorf--Jankulovski
---------------------------------------
-----------Kaka----Oliveira---------

Didn't we have another young wide right player (not Foggia) who we loaned to a serie B club last season? We have Lunati and Bottini who could possibly play wide right if we wanted them too and Mattorazzi (sp?) our young right-back.

It's just an option.

I think you're talking about Marzoratti.. who if I remember correctly was loaned to Empoli this season.

Well then we won't be able to play Marzoratti at right-back

That other right sided youngster's name though is annoying me, i just can't think of it.

I dont know if Seedorf can play in front of defence
He is more like an offensive miedfielder and we need him in attack where he is brilliant
But to be honest im curious to see him play as a DM
But i dont know if Ancelotti will think about it

Because of the nature of our midfield.. he will have to help defend and attack anyway.

I never seen Gourcuff play in MILANs shirt but i dont know if he got the experience for playing in PIRLOs position
But i hope that these yongsters that MILAN bought will confirm the expectations
Also i think we should by at least a defender in winter

Yes probably he can replace Pirlo bat not on a long term
If we give Seedorf more defensive duties than he wont be as much effective in attack as he is now

I`m with you,I dont say that he should play there, but from the players left his the only one i`v seen Carlo playing in front of defense. thas why I think he will play there if needed.

I wouldnt like to Gourcuff play in that role, his young,he can adapt easily to changes, but i want this guy to be more offensive, and not in the left or right flank, he can give the best in the center.

Yes i think that too about Gourcuff
Ive seen him play with France at the U21 EC and they played with 5 miedfielders with Gourcuff behind the striker and he played very well
I think in MILAN team he can replace either Seedorf or Kaka
