A partner for Gila

The departure of Shevchenko seems to be hurting us as we clearly lack a striker of his caliber to partner Gilardino. Inzaghi is too old to rely on for a whole season and he understandable gets injured when played frequently. Olivera and Borellio are simply not that good. While Gilardino as I said is the only one who seems to match the heights of Sheva but lacks a quality partner to make a threatening partnership.
With Henry, Etoo, and Ronaldo all rejecting to come to Milan our options are limited. In my eyes one man who can really form a threatening partnership with Gila is Lionel Messi. The Barcelona forward is just 19 and there is no doubt that in the coming years he will overtake Ronaldinho as the best player in the world and surely if he continues the way he is playing now then dethroning Pele and Maradona is a reality. His ball control, dribbling and finishing is absolutely unbelievable and most importantly he is not a selfish striker. I can understand that his cost might be high but we can look to him as our long term solution for he is only 19.

I see till now that really if anyone should be replaced, it should be Gila
Seriously, inzaghi is injury prone, and Gila is having a bad time, Oliviera is still not proving that he is Serie A material despite his debut.

In my mid Milan should keep Inzaghi, Gila and Ricardo but there has to be a new star striker for Milan to completely replace Sheva

A partner for Gila? Why is that? To me Pippo seems to be performing excellently each game. Its just that Gila is too poor to be even able to control the ball (for example look at Samp game, he lost EVERY SINGLE ball that came to him because of his lack of control. ATM, Gila is definitely the one that needs to be replaced.

like i mentioned before many times... Gilardino is in the team by default & not by merit... don't even let your feelings towards your little posterboy to cloud your thoughts that he deserves a spot in the team... he was at best only average last season & simply pathetic so far this season...
if not only for the huge price we paid for him... Oliveira not bein' fully match-fit... Ancelotti somewhat still blindly supportin' him... Gilardino would not even be gettin' any play-time...
even a half-fit overweight Ronaldo can score goals... what does that put Gilardino? Serie B quality if not Serie A relegation candidate teams... and at best mid-table Serie A teams... definitely not title-chasin' Milan...

Torres is one who could play with inzaghi and Gila... i was even impressed with Di Michele the other day, those chips over the goalee were wicked!

btw what happened to Geogre weah jnr?

check out george weah clips, i forgot how good he was.. with milans love for 'mature' players maybe we can get him out of retirement just kidding.. what happened to the good days when we just bought champions?

Didn't Weah junior get cut off the team? I can't confirm this, I just remember reading it a few weeks ago. I can't see his name on any of the youth teams listed on acmilan.com

I did see a Davide Ancelotti, and Christian Maldini and Christian Galliani are both defenders for one of the youth teams!

It is not that all the players rejected to come, it was simply a matter of not trying hard enough. We basically leak out the information about wanting to sign them and give their club a call. We cut the price down by like 50% and when the opposing side rejecte our bid, we give up. And then we have a conference saying some BS about how Oliveira would be a good fit, Inzaghi is getting back to his old self, Gilardino is going to have a good season and we have young players to develop (although the only one we have is Gorcuff). Let's face it, if we even tried to sign a striker, he would be here a long time ago. The board of directors simply didn't want to sign anyone.

we must get a skillfull striker fast, and have a great shoot.not an opportunis striker like inzghi.because gila is an oportunis striker so the partner must make room for him and not justwait in front of ,like inzagi

Wow, it's taken this long for people to see what I've been saying since last season. I don't get why this guy comes so highly rated! Even in the World Cup, I could not see him on the field unless he was actually taking (missing) a shot and the more I see of him the more I realize his goals were maybe flukes....just plain luck???

Whoever made the decision to not replace Shev should by now be realizing the folly of that move....

The best replacement for sheva i think is one of etoo, ronaldinho, henry! The rests are just a risk if milan buy them.
