Trofeo Berlusconi , 06/01/2007
Knock, knock
Noone interested in this match ? "It’s the 15th edition of the friendly between Italian football’s most decorated sides, a clash which has never failed to set previous summers alight. The game has a winter flavour for the first time this year but that won’t stop the temperature reaching boiling-point at the Giuseppe Meazza. Aside from the age-old rivalry between the pair, the clash will be the perfect indicator of the condition the two teams are in after the winter break and of Juventus’ future ambitions as they chase down a return to Serie A." The “Berlusconi” has become a classic of the Italian footballing calendar and - with the exception of 1992, 1993 and 1994, when Milan hosted Inter, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich - the trophy has been an annual head-to-head between the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri, ever since its inception in 1991. As things stand, Juventus lead the way with eight victories to Milan’s seven. History 1991 Juventus - Milan 2:1 ..... Casiraghi (2) - Maldini 1992 Milan- Inter 1:0 ..... Papin 1993 Milan- Real Madrid 3:2 ..... Simone, Papin, Boban - Michel, Zamorano 1994 Milan- Bayern 1:0 ..... Gullit 1995 Juventus- Milan 0:0 (6:5 after penalties) 1996 Milan- Juventus 1:0 ..... Eranio 1997 Milan- Juventus 3:1 .....Cruz, Kluivert, Weah - Conte 1998 Juventus-Milan 2:1 ..... Inzaghi (2) - Bierhoff 1999 Juventus- Milan 1:0 ..... Del Piero 2000 Juventus- Milan 2:2 (7:6 after penalties).....Trezeguet, Inzaghi - Jose Mari, Shevchenko 2001 Juventus- Milan 1:1 (4:3 after penalties).....Del Piero-Serginho 2002 Milan- Juventus 0:0 (3:2 after penalties) 2003 Juventus- Milan 2:0..... Del Piero, Camoranesi 2004 Juventus- Milan 1:0 ..... Olivera 2005 Milan- Juventus 2:1 ..... Kaka, Serginho - Vieira * It's interesting how Pippo Inzaghi who, together with Del Piero, is the all time top scorer of this cup, has missed 3 penalties out of 3 atempts on these matches, in 2000,2001 and 2002 ![]() Milan is the strongest team Juve will play against this year. It's a friendly match, and all of the players, especially the youngsters are expecting to be given few minutes of play. It's a perfect oportunity for some of the old "enemies" and great friends Maldini, Pirlo, Gattuso, Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved to give us a real show. Lets hope there won't be any serious injuries, like it happened on the last Trofeo Berlusconi match when Buffon and Nedved got serious injuries ! GL Last edited by Tony29.; 01-01-2007 at 09:13. |

Are you perhaps asking me who is the one on my avatar ? Is he a future signing for Inter ? Is that what you mean, when you say what's with my sig ? If it is, then i'm really disapointed in you for not recognizing him ![]() That's the player who brought the 2005/06 Scudetto to Inter with his briliant performances this summer. It's him - Telecom Provera Rossi , or as he's better known, Telecominho ! ![]() Last edited by Tony29.; 01-01-2007 at 15:36. |

You'll never miss a single serie a match with this link. The channel is always on! BTW Tony, when did Nedved become a "friend" of milan players?

I'm from St. Lucia.. and no I don't know what time it starts. The other matches ranged from starting time 12:00 Italian time(I'm assuming) to 14:30(Italian). Pretty early over here.

Shame on you for giving false info ! Juve didn't suck, and they were better than Inter, Real and Bayern at the time, but yes, they weren't worthy opponents to Milan of 92,93 and especially 94 ! For example, Juve finished second in season 1991/92, while Inter were 8th placed, and still on August 18 1992 Milan played against Inter on Tropheo Berlusconi ! The real answer to the question is Gianluigi Lentini. The relationship between Juve and Milan was pretty bad after the little war they had for Lentini's signature, and after Milan signed him in the summer of 1992. EDIT: These tensions lasted until summer of 1995, when Juve sold Baggio to Milan, and the 2 clubs started cooperating again. ( After this there was a deal between the clubs not to go for the same players anymore, and not to spoil their relations for a player, like they did with Lentini ) Last edited by Tony29.; 01-01-2007 at 20:03. |
