He was one of the decent strikers we had in the past. Now we have no decent striker in CL. I dream about his performance in the past but I think it's just a dream. He is already old now. The age can't be lied. Maybe he could do some great performance but still it would be much less than in the past.

I think this is a good thread to gauge current opinion of Pippo.

He's never been super fast or skillful, but he seems to be in the right place at the right time. I stll think he can be valuable to us against Man Utd and hopefully in the final. He will also provide decent cover for us next year.

Inzaghi’s Class

hey guys frist of all Congratulations of winning ....
oh yeah we did it WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
i read this artical about superPipo about last night match and i thought share it with you guys :

" Filippo Inzaghi is 34 years old. So what? He is still able to outclass players as Gerrard and Mascherano adding easily on his wide collection just another Champions League trophy.

Before the starting whistle all the talk was about the magic of Kaka or the leading abilities of Steven Gerrard. If someone wanted to bet money with reasonable risk for the MVP of the final, would place it on either Kaka’s marksman Javier Mascherano or some other youngster willing to make endless runs so as to win the most important silverware in club football.
However, it was the veteran forward who stole the spotlight serving a cold revenge to Milan with the two goals he scored, one at the end of its half.
As Kaka dropped deep to avoid Liverpool’s defense attention Inzaghi saw little of the ball early on. Unfortunately For Liverpool, Gerrard was not in form either taking too much of his own trying to score virtually from anywhere around Milan’s area.
For Superpippo though a simple touch with the ball was enough and this breakthrough came on 45 minutes when he deflected past Jose Manuel Reina and into the net an Andrea Pirlo free-kick.
He might have been fortunate with the first but his second goal was simply a ruthless execution worthy his name as one of the most lethal strikers ever passed from the global football stage. With Mascherano off, substituted by then in order one more forward to be added for Liverpool’s last efforts in search of an equalizer, Kaka was free to ease a pass through the center of the English side defense and Inzaghi rounded Reina before sending the ball home.
The hero was substituted by Carlos Ancelotti with three minutes left on the clock to be given a standing ovation by the jubilant faithful of the Italian club as the match seemed too difficult to be turned around in the remaining time by a hopeless Premiership side.
Dirk Kuyt, who won a starters place instead of Liverpool’s top scorer in Champions League Peter Crouch, brought two-year old memories to Milan’s fans when he headed in from an offside position to make it 2-1 on 88 minutes. But that was all.
Inzaghi directing his teammates from the sidelines saw Milan wasting Liverpool’s time with a calm ball possession and minutes later when referee Herbert Fandel blew his whistle for a last time ran immediately onto the pitch to celebrate with them Milan’s seventh European Cup.
The MVP title, of course, was all his own."

belive it or not guys i did have this feeling either pirlo or pipo would score the winning goal ... man i'm sooo happppppy

mzk57 is an unknown quantity at this point
I think Pippo has proved that at 34, He is still one of th best finishers in the Champions League Maybe not as effective in Serie-A but who cares when he can score 2 in the CL final
So it would be terrible if he leaves ACM to join AS Roma ACM should keep him simply bcoz he can score in Chmapions League.
Ronaldo, Gila, Inzaghi are good enough to win the Scudetto next season with the help of Kaka, Seedorf and maybe MG. Pedrson

Plus Alex Ferguson should re-consider abt his statment on Pippo Inzaghi

ya he proved that he still got what it's need to make his team win
and i don't think his going any where coz in press conference after the match he said he will stay with Milan :

" 'SuperPippo' Hails Fabulous Teammates

Milan's man of the moment 'Pippo' Inzaghi was quick to praise his teammates for their efforts against a difficult Liverpool side.

When congratulated for his match-winning effort, he was quick to respond: "This side deserves the congratulations, they made me."
"I have already won the Champions League, but to score two in the final - I can't believe this," he continued, speaking to Sky Italia.
"I dedicate this to my family and the people who are close to me.
"Two years ago I was out for a season, and Milan waited for me to come back to action - I don't forget these things."
About his own future, he insisted that he would play on for Milan as long as fit, but never for any other club again.
"As long as I feel good, I will wear this shirt; this will be the last shirt I wear in my career," he concluded."

i like how hamble he is he didn't go like " i did this ...i did that.... i ... i "
it always the team effered what make the success and victory.

by the way what did Alex Ferguson said about Pippo ?!
