awww don't worry....goal.com says that Quaresma to Athletico (and hopefully Liverpool) move is off......let's hope our management gets his @$$
![]() He alone could work wonders for our team and I trust Ancelotti to place him well into the side...He'll light the fire under Seedorf and Gila's @$$ for sure Quaresma's arrival would intantly turn our summer around. I'm pretty sure that Carlo in all his wisdom can turn him into a CAM or SS ![]()

![]() He isnt quite signed yet but even Fergie is saying its only a matter of time now, and in Ferg we trust ![]() If/When he does arrive that should mean Rossi will be allowed to leave, though they may let him go out on a long term loan rather than sell him outright.

I know you said 'many more' but looking at your list and actual and official signings on transfer sites only ManU stands out for me

They also bought 2 talented youngsters Torres and Lucas Leiva

Torres in the EPL remains to be seen in my opinion, but for example if ManU do get Tevez I think he can do really well (and not just because of what he did at West Ham)

Both Torres and Tevez will be SUPER FLOP
Bcoz Torres is made for La Liga & Tevez is smilar to Rooney, Its just like Lampard-Ballack situation in Chelsea ![]()

Out of all the players mentioned in the original post, I wouldn't really have seriously considered any of them for Milan at this point.

Man U and Real are both looking towards the future, and who said we aren't? Have you followed our youth setup, because we have some highly (if not high profile) youngsters coming through. Galliani himself also said that he'll be looking towards younger players in the market like Kaka, but that doesn't mean we should only look towards youngsters, as we simply can't rely on them. This was clearly evident in the past season against Man U, a team full of young exciting talent, but ultimately one that failed miserably when coming up against experienced and high quality players. Eto'o and Pato are still in the picture to come to Milan (the latter more likely), whilst the rest on that list still have a lot to prove. Granted it's the same for Pato, but there's no doubt whatsoever about the influence he could have once developed. Cassano is a huge talent and always has been, just he's about as mature as a 3 year old. As to where will Milan be in 5 years, it's way to early to seriously plan that far ahead. That isn't to say possibilities aren't considered, as we're clearly looking at younger talent (early to mid 20s) in the market and like I said earlier, we've pushed the youth setup a lot. You can't replace the current generation already and buying young talent right now would be detrimental to their career unless we keep loaning them out (which too is a big risk), or we put them into the side ahead our current starters (which is just stupid in most cases). We have to at least wait to see what comes out of this transfer market. There's still over 1 and a half months in which time I'm certain we'll hear of a couple of good transfers that are important for the present and future. |
