Time to give Willy Aubameyang a chance???

Ever since I can remember, he has been a promising member of our Primavera... He's now 20 and I believe that he deserves a shot with the Senior Squad...

Come on Carlo !!! Give the boy a chance !!!

basically just showed that with his naive runs, lack of strength, and poor finishing that he is not milan quality yet and needs some time out on loan to improve. in fact, he was not dangerous at all unless service was gifted to him on a silver platter and in those cases he was found wanting.

I am not giving up on the kid, but he definitely ain't ready yet, imho, unless of course it was just for emergency duty

I have not seen the Moscow tournament, and you might be right, but the same applies for many youngsters that we have... And I'm sure he can improve over time, the only thing is we need to give him a few more chances...If he still cannot deliver, then I would agree with you but do not rule him out right away

yeah, i ain't making a final judgment on the kid, but i just think he needs probably a serie b loan where he can play everyday and then if he does well a serie a lower to mid-table team, and then he would be 22 and evaluate from there, but he is a couple of years away in my judgment. i always thought di gennaro was a better prospect anyway, and i am not sure at all he will be a future milan player, but he is at bologna in serie b, so sending aubameyang on loan makes sense. again, if we just need a body (which is unfortunately possible), then yeah keep him until the winter and when pato is eligible, but otherwise, it will stunt his development unless we play him a lot, and if we do that, we're in trouble, as far as the scudetto is concerned.

Nah, he ain't ready yet for the big step. If we needed someone like that just to make the numbers we should have kept Boriello or Oliveira, Aubemyang is not the right player. Milan is not a team that gives chances for young players to shine, thats Fiorentina, thats Arsenal, thats Valencia. If the youngster is good enough he will break into the lineup just like Kaka, but for now playing Aubemyang will only do us harm. Using him in pre-season is right, just to see how he fits in and then take a judgement on what they should do with him.

He needs another year or two at either another italian club or another spanish club on loan then we can ready him to play for milan.

Carlo has given him chances and he's not really delivered. He's pretty talented, but clearly isn't ready yet. However, very few are at his age, especially in Italy.

I am a great fan of Willy.
Together with Di Gennaro and Foggia(now Lazio ) a promising young striker. He has what it takes to become a great player.
But as said, not yet.
His Moscow debut was far from great, but let's not forget he wasn't the only player that was playing bad.
Perhaps it's not very smart to keep him as 4th striker, I would much rather see him in the lineup of Reggina or an equal team.
Just one year, then he'll be 21 and ready to make his impact.

Foggia was 24 (I think) when he left and never really made any mark at any club he was at. He's talented, but he had little future with us.

Willy is promising, but don't be surprised if he ends up the same.

I like the lad but im not convinced he's up to the task at the moment. Perhaps a Serie B loan where he can build confidence is whats required?
