There have been quite some talk about Milan and not creating players for the first team. Real problem is that not many players from any academy is good enough for us. We have on the other hand many players from our youth teams that gone on to become good-great players.
Here I will present the ones I can come up with from my memory, please be free to add names if you know about any. Now "oldies" from Milan primavera: Paolo Maldini, Carlo Cudicini (Chelsea), Massimo Oddo, Christian Brocchi, Francesco Coco (Inter). I think you know enough about these players ![]() Some other established names: Enzo Maresca, he tried his luck in England, Just got him and now he plays in Sevilla. Mostly a bit part role, but scoring quite a few goals. Pasuale Foggia, breaked trough two years back on loan to Ascoli where he had many a fine game. Didn't fit into Milans tactics and have since gone too Lazio/Reggina with varied succes. Now that he is in Cagliari he have begun the season great and got a call to the national team. He completly humiliated Chiellini against Juventus (I almost never seen a player passed by that often) and would have had several assists if not his teammates let him down. Massimo Maccarone. After a great season in Serie B he went to Middlesbrough where he had very limited succes. Back in serie A he is a useful attacker although no Milan class. Antonini. Now in Empoli, before he played for Sampdoria and some other teams. We sold him to Sampdoria. Decent midfielder that I haven't seen much off. Marco Donadel. Was touted as being our midfield future, even if I personally wasn't impressed by him when I first saw him. He have since grown to be a good hardworking defensive midfielder in Fiorentina. Domizzi and Contini. Two mediocre central defenders who now ply their trade in Napoli. both have been in Parma among other clubs before. Domzzi scored in last game ![]() Upcoming players: Marzoratti. Still owned by Milan he will have his second season in Empoli and is mostly a regular starter in central defense (and sometimes as fullback, at least last season). I wasn't impressed by him last season, but he looked quite good against Inter. Allesandro Matri. I believed we loaned him to serie C last season and now I am surprised to find in Cagliari. Strong striker who scored in the first game and cause Juve some worries. Wasn't he our primaveras best scorer two seasons back? Davide Di Gennaro. The "fantasista" from last years primavera team is now in Bologna and have featured in their first three games. although them buying adailton may mean that he won't feature that much more... A pity, I heard he did really well on the preseason. Ignazio Abate. Galliani once said "abate is a exciting talent", probably because we just had a bad game. Abate after a season in Napoli in serie C and last year a season with Modena in serie B now have ended up in the youth colony at Empoli. He came on against Inter and while mostly being quiet he didn't beat his man at least once. What happened to you? Mohammed Aliyu. Debuted as a 16 year old for our first team, was talked about as the huge talent. Seemingly he haven't taken a single step forward since and is now lingering in the Belgian league not making much noice at all. Catalina Aubameyang. The oldest Aubame son was another player who debuted for us and was seen as someone big in the making. We loaned him to Galatasaray where he was a starter in the begining. What the F happened? I believe he is also now eating Belgian chocolate. Andrea Rabito. most of you may not have heard of him. He was one of the best in oneof our best primavera teams a couple of years back. Out on loan (first in C then in B) he did in his second on loan season score a lot of goals and impress. I am not sure what happened after that, for some reason he hardly played the next season and now he is nowhere to be found. Eder Bau. The best scorer in our primavera some 3 or 4 years back, he never launched, still playing in B and is having a pretty poor striker rate.

I will last give a little view on our current youth players I seen.
Osuji. I feel that is anyone from our current primavera is going to make it, it will be him. He have the right attitude and the right physical attributes. He also have some talent on the ball, even if his passing need to improve. he can be a great Gattuso/Makelele type midfielder. Darmian. He have grown since I first saw him as a right fullback for the first team. Aliyu be excused, but players who debute in Serie A for the first team by the age of 16 usually end up legends. He seems better in Central defense and that is where he currently plays. Pierre Aubyemang. Seemingly the best of the brothers, with great scoring instincts. Despite all the goals he scored I am still not really sold on him. Can be a good striker, but I feel he will never be a great one. At least if he does not improve his techniqe Bruscagin. Impressed in central defense with Darmian, both are picked for the Italian u-19 team. More aggressive than Darmian. Paloschi. Was the striker in our younger youth team that won their league. If I remember correctly he was just one goal short from scoring a goal a game.
