Milan - Parma
This Saturday, we have a big game against Parma.... I have always respected Parma as an opponent, and believe that our boys do so as well.
After two consecutve draws, I see this game as a "must win", especially if we do not want to bid farewell to the Scudetto race when the going gets even tougher later in the season. So let's get seated in front of a nearby TV/computer with internet connection and rally behind the team. FORZA MILAN !!!!

A win in the game before is always a good sign, though it guarantees nothing. We are facing a formidable opponent which is desperate to deliver after three winless matchdays in Serie A. They are going to be determined to succeed this time, as Parma has always been a team which manages to wreak havoc on bigger teams every once in a while, but I am confident, and I hope that Milan are going to prove victorious. ![]()

evening game at 2:30pm eastern time.
We will see Gila, Emerson and Bonera start this game I think. Would be nice to see Gourcuff, Pirlo and Kaka all fielded together for an attacking formation. Last edited by hitmannq8; 19-09-2007 at 13:31. |

Parma hasn't won a single match yet so I hope they come to San Siro to play an open match.

I was waiting for someone to open this thread!!
Ok, so Parma are winless, and will be coming to the San Siro for a point, and more, if their luck holds...I see them defending, and trying to attack only on the counter. This is a game where Dida will have to keep a clean sheet...and I expect our defense to be on their toes...we cannot afford to drop points here, if we are to stay in touch with Inter and Roma. Kaka IMO will play, as will Pirlo, if fit...Gorky? Well, I hope he is fit, and spells Clarence...though somehow I dont see Carlo putting Seedorf on the bench...but who knows? Maybe he will.... The pressure has already started to mount for us domestically, and we will need these 3 points, seeing that Roma and Juve play Sunday...a draw there could see us move even closer to the current leaders...Inter should maintain their little cushion over us vs Livorno...but wont extend their lead if we win... A game we should win comfortably, and one in which I hope Gila not only plays, but scores at least a brace...with our defensive lapses ever present, we will need at least 2 goals to ensure victory. FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!! Lets beat Parma!!

Underestimate Parma? Never ever.... Our boys should always respect the opponent in order to perform well, even when they are playing, say, Bristol City (no offense). ![]()

I think its time for seedorf to get a rest, and Yoan should jump in in his place.Emerson and Bonera should get a start also IMO,maybe even Brochi.Gila should play either we play one striker or two striker formation.
Other than that,I think we should take this game seriously,as we can not afford to loose more points.

Read what Maldinihad said about the fans during the CL between Milan and Benfica :
Taken from channel4.com : Maldini blasts Milan faithful Thursday 20 September, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Milan veteran Paolo Maldini has hit out at the San Siro fans for their lack of support during the Rossoneri’s Champions League victory over Benfica on Tuesday. The European champions began their title defence with a 2-1 win over the Portuguese giants, but the atmosphere was muted in the Stadio Meazza. “Like my teammates I’m angry because after all that we have given and all we have won we deserve to be treated better,” Maldini told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “This attitude started at last season’s derby and with some help from the curva we would have won that game. “Fans all over the ground aren’t giving their support and I think that they need to show us that they have Milan in their hearts. “It seems like we’re playing away all the time and we don’t want to put up with that any longer,” he concluded. Parma are the visitors to Milan on Saturday evening and it remains to be seen what impact the 39-year-old’s comments will have. unquote. I can't say anything about Maldini's comments and let us watch the game opn TV and see whether the fans do support Milan or not..... It's a "tragedy" to have a muted stadium where the home team, Champions of Europe play without any support from the fans. ![]()

Could this be the impact of the increase in season ticket holders? In the EPL, there has been a "gentrification" of the fans, such that for example at Chelsea, the away fans make more noise...
Is it possible that the Doctors, lawyers, and other wealthy people that bought the season tickets dont cheer, chant, sing, or make noise in the San Siro? I hope the tifosi get behind the team...oh!! Almost forgot..with the ultra´s in decline, this could also be part of the problem....lets hope its a volatile, noisy atmosphere on Saturday!
