This season we havent won a single game at home...

This season so far, we havent win a single game at home. We win away, score many goals and play good...but what is wrong with Milan at San Siro? Even though we play better we dont win...Is the pitch cursed? . Any ideas?

Maybe its the ball they use, the direction of the wind, the grass a cm too high or the chanting of the fans.

Who knows?

The mental pressure at home is greater than that away. The players are aware strong home form is necessary to be successful, and on top of that are aware that smaller sides will come to the San Siro to only defend, something which they almost fear nowerdays. On top of this, only in the more recent home matches have the fans supported the side. This means the players play apprehensively and with a great deal of tension. Once a result comes things should start to unblock in this way, much like they have with our away form and play in general.

you have to have in mind we are talking about a VERY experienced players (thats the fact I use when onse says we have too old players) that are used to pressure, they played many games under more pressure in last 10 years. It can be excuse for gourcuff or maybe even gila but not for pirlo, inzaghi, seedorf, gattuso, ambro, dida etcetc...

The pitch IS cursed. Inter won the scudetto last year and now we will struggle until they are no longer serie a champions. It is no longer OUR field, it is theirs. Thats why we struggle.

They may be experienced but even they can let pressure get to them, and if I'm totally honest, the mental strength has been one of the biggest weaknesses of the squad during Ancelotti's era (the fact we continuously fear situations like Deportivo or Istanbul suggests this).

GOD DAMN IT GALLIANI. You are humuliating Milan and lowering its class every time you blame the referees from dropped points against low teams like this. I dont care if the player single handedly carried the ball with his hands and put in the goal, WE ARE MILAN, refereeing decisions SHOULD NOT affect our results against teams like this. He is pissing me off more day by day with these comments.

yes... but those are total lapses of concentration for one game (one half, couple of minutes?), not something that would take them 5 matches over 2 months.

I would say like one mentioned before, we cannot adapt our tactics anymore. If they let us play, we will make them pay with easy victory and/or lots of goals. But if they close us down and tightly mark the only two real creators (kaka & seedorf) all that is left is pirlo's long passing to already overwhelmed lone attacker. Runs from our backs are rare, DMs dont put a lot in offence even if they try lately... it seems clear that we will suffer yet there is nothing new in the team that would change it (tactics, formations, players...)

First of all we had a hard time winning in san siro is due to our opponent packing their defense. getting a point in san siro is like winning against us.

secondly, playing christmas tree formation won't work against these teams.

In six home matches so far, we've scored a whopping three goals and conceded five. We also haven't scored at home in over 300 minutes. Isn't that wonderful?

That is the only explanation I have to agree with...

That is some horrible stats...I m actually worried that we will end up in the middle of the table at the end of the season. We have to change something now...urgently. Something is horribly wrong with Milan.

Galliani would never admit that the defeat is our mistake, and most of the time refs have nothing to do with that...

i blame Dida

Actually Human Torch has given the answer perfectly, in Europe and away from home teams cant just be content to defend for 90 minutes but at the San Siro they are. Of course this isnt anything new its just that gradual deterioration of the players is showing more and the tactics arent helping either
