Just wondering !!!

im just wondering why it always has to be kaka who shoots the panalty always him, him him !!!!!
i mean for exampel this season not to mention most of last season every singel panalty we had kaka was the one who shoots.... well hellllo there are athor players who actually have 2 legs and knows how to shoot a ball !!!!
i think the athor players should giving the trust to do it, instead of Consecrating on kaka !!!!!
P.S: i was wondering about this for aquite a while and it nothing to with him missing the panalty today !!

I would think that pirlo would take penaltys, because he is very accurate, i cant see him missing a penalty, but Kaka is the penalty man.

FYI, Pirlo was the person who took penalty; missed a couple, and Kaka took over. Now looks like Kaka is missing a couple too. But I think the sequence is:

Kaka
Pirlo
Seedorf

All 3 are world class players, and all capable of takin penalties, maybe they should try a rotating schedule, the next penalty that milan gets, kaka will take, then the next one pirlo can take, and so on and so forth....

Kaka's the designated penalty taker in the club as he's got a very good scoring rate. That doesn't mean others aren't capable or good at penalties, as Pirlo, Gila, Ronaldo, Oddo, Serginho, Janku and Nesta are very good penalty takers.

Oddo is the best . if not mistaken he only miss 1 penalty from 15 when his time at lazio.

yeah u are totally right ..
i think it's good idea to have schedule that every player has his turn to shoot a panalty..
and oddo when he was playing with lazio i rememebr he always scoring..he sure is the master of panalties

I think it's a good idea to spread them around as well. Kaka is excellent but he must remember that taking penalites is a privilege not a right.

I also think penalties should be used as ego boosters to players in difficulty as long as these are capable. For instance I often wondered why Gila wasn't given a couple during his lean spells (of course he'd probably miss them too ) or why Ronaldo wasn't given the penalty after he was fouled......Or maybe we could adopt Arsenal's policy that the fouled player never takes the spot kick ( I think that's to give a show of fair play and to imply that the fouled party didn't dive to get a goal)

u know kaka now scored what 6 or 7 goals and almost all of it from penalties , so if they spread the penalties on all the players in the team ,then they would have the chance to score couple of goals in their season specially for player who are not strikers if they are good are it... they would have their names in the list ...how about that , fair play for everyone !

from what i can remember.. he has only missed two penalties this campaign (the penalty yesterday against cagliari and one against sevilla in the euro super cup that he converted off the rebound anyway), correct me if i'm wrong..

honestly, i wouldn't change anythin. i think he presents us with the best opportunity to score from the spot every time he steps up to take one. if he started to miss with some consistency (like say he misses his next two penalties on top of the one yesterday), then maybe i'd start to consider other options. just my two cents.

Well, i am surprised, and im not surprised that Kaka missed, he had just come back from a international trip with brazil, and he comes back to play a full game with another team, hes got to be feeling that om his legs, he was probably very fatigued therfore causin him to miss, but if you look at the shot, it was extremely powerful. Pirlo scored a wonderful free-kick, to me i would say that he should be second choice kick taker for when kaka isnt able.

actually, Pirlo IS the second choice...and was the first choice until the night of Istambul... starting 2006-2007 season Kaka' became first choice...

We have a very good list of players for the PK:

Kaka'
Pirlo
Oddo
Jankulovsky
Gilardino
Serginho
Ronaldo
Nesta

Note: Seedorf and Pippo, as good as they are in everything else, are not very secure PK takers. And I don't think Paolo has ever taken one...

Paolo took one in a friendly against Manchester United in the states, I think it was in 2004. The score was 1-1 and the shootout lasted 11 players I think, even Dida took one! Maldini's was perfectly placed into the top left corner, so maybe he should be considered as well

NOw that i have a look at that list, i see that milan has a very good team when it comes to accuracy and dead ball situations. I dont think this PK issue is such a big deal, especially when Ancelotti has so many options to his disposal. Inter i would say threw away their best free-kick, and accuracy player when they loaned Recoba out. Inter now has figo, chivu who are the only ones i know to my knowledge to be have decent when it comes to penalty kicks. Matrazzi is also a very good penalty kick taker. Focusing back on Milan, i myself being a very accurate soccer player, can see that there is alot of talent in Seedorf, he may be extremely useful from the spot.
