AC Milan vs. Celtic FC, 12/4/07
I'm surprised nobody's opened a thread for this match yet.
Apparently, general ticket sales for Tuesday's affair have been abysmal with only 3,000 sold, not counting holders of season tickets or fans who bought passes for the three CL home matches. Nonetheless, to quote a particularly bad movie, "All that's left is revenge." |

I'm surprised that the game is immediately after CL game 5. Anyway, a draw will work and nobody really cares
. Besides, Milan vs. Juventus is a bit more interesting now ![]() Jxx |

How come Milans group games are being played this week and the others next week?
Is it because of the World Championship? |

Well looking at our starting eleven's from, they need rest. A draw would be ok for us, putting us in the first pot, But a win would be amazing since the Scottish side is very fearsome in their home matches, and might be trouble in the knock-out round. A lost wont be acceptable since we need a morale win for the CWC.
I see this Formation:- ---------Dida -----Bonera----Kaladze Oddo---------------Serginho -Brochi---Pirlo----Ambro Seedorf---------Gourcuff ------------Gila(or R99 For some Match Time) Subs: Maldini = Oddo Pirlo= Gattuso Kaka/Inzaghi= Seedorf/Gila I know its bad winning formation, but atleast we should rest our players, and give gorky/seedorf/gila a trio try. FORZA MILAN

Milan will care more about finishing top of the group than on revenge but wether or not they will field a weakened team is another question. I am not confident of us getting a result in the San Siro as our away record is the exact opposite of our home record. The only chance we have of getting anything rests with who the manager plays for Milan and our guys raising their game that bit more. Nonetheless i think it will be a great game with just the 1 maybe 2 goals in it.

lets remember what happened to Shakhtar when they came to the San Siro
![]() Anyway, Carlo wont play the "2nd team" Formation but i also think he will play Ronaldo(if fit) and Gila or the christmas tree with Inzaghi upfront... as always Kaka and Seedorf behind him.. but we'll have to wait for the called-up plays list to come out to the public |

Remember the last time Celtic came to the San Siro. Celtic and Shakhtar are two entirely different teams. Shakhtar are a team who have spent big and are looking for progress so attack more, where Celtic are essentially a dominant force locally and work hard trying to progress. This makes Celtic a bit more defence minded than Shakhtar, so less open to a rout. Also considering that there are no defence like an Italian defence, that if Milan go 1 goal up they will try to preserve players by closing shop and maybe just picking up any chance of a counter attack. Whichever team Milan field i'm under no illusion they will want to win but if it's a team of irregulars then the pressure is on them to impress on Ancelotti for a regular slot in the team and that might just be shaded by Celtics "must get at least a point" approach. One day celtic will end their away day blues but i'm not so certain tomorrow will be that day so i am hoping Benfica can do something for us. Last edited by Tommybhoy; 03-12-2007 at 04:49. |

well I just remember the word i meant to say... and the word is : reserves :P
and Tommy, in the CL Milan are still undefeated in home... so your "our away record is the exact opposite of our home record." sentence isnt exactly right... but anyway Football is football ![]() |
