Carlo Ancelotti

Hi, members of Milan Mania. I have finally after months of antizipation completed my poem about Carlo.

I have finished it just minutes ago. And I wanted all of my beloved members here to get to see it first.

Feel free to tell me if you like it or not.

Carlo Ancelotti

He is a father to his boys. He takes good care of them. Offers them advice like a true father does. Like a shield. When he is near his boys, everything is OK. He has a way, a way of telling them what to do on the pitch. Unique.

A football genious. A big player himself and now a big coach.

AC Milan is in his heart. The Milan energy is flowing through his veins. A beautiful connection between a pure soul and a pure club.

Italia. Italien. His home. Selle Italia. Per sempre. As he walks through the holy country with 7 letters he is at peace. He walks as if there is no danger. An innocent child, but he is not afraid.

Forgive Ancelotti. I have.

he is not to blame... he cant control the players aging...a bad work man quarels with his tools... Carlo has no tools... the too teenagers are the only ones trying... give him better players and he will get the job done.

But Carlo has big faults on sticking with the disgraceful Dida for at least 2 seasons more than the necessary. And i'm a Carlo fan....honestly on Dida Carlo's decisions were utterly rubbish.

I agree that Carlo does what he can with the rubbish material given from the society: yesterday we saw a few unidentified phenomena:

1)Gattuso playing as right back

2)Ambrosini playing as first striker (and looking better than Gilardino)

3)Gilardino trying to look as a striker

4)Pato playing as a winger

He is not blameless, to me there are questions about his idea of rotation and I think that means he is more stubborn than most coaches. For example I, and some of us, posted here about how a player like Laursen was pretty much banished after one bad game.
No matter how bad a youth or senior player may be, and it can only be in training and reserve games because there aren't many teams with less rotation than Milan, surely the likes of Gourcuff should get chances ahead of experiments when the team needs to win games?

mzk57 is an unknown quantity at this point
-Paolo Maldini as LB & Kaladze as CB
-A formation of 4-3-2-1 in San Siro for the league matches
-Pato as winger
-Not forming a regular strike partnership of Gila-Pato
-Destroying Gila's career
-Not using Gourcuff to his potentials
-Over dependening on Seedorf, Gattuso & Ambrosini

Sorry Carlo, I like you, but u must go now. Let Jose do some thing different. Carlo should go to Lyon

lol, this is just amazing...

what if Kaladze cant play in LB? do you know his ability(lately) in LB?

IMO, Maldini is doing a great job playing in LB, and he was the one that told Carlo that he wants to play as LB, now thats a true Captain

on matches like this, no coach can count on players that cant deliever, and he knew that Gourcuff wont be able to do so..

Seedorf did what he had to do, so did Ambro, Maldini and every player on the pitch....

but one thing i cant explain and i disagree with Carlo...

WHY DO WE HAVE EMERSON AND BROCCHI?

Forza Carlo Ancelotti

Please bear with me, I need to rant a little bit about CA:

The level of disrespect and discontent shown at Ancelotti's performance is as tragic as it is nauseating. Like ALL other coaches (who are presumably all human with Mr. Capello being the only documented exception) Carlo is human and prone to error. This does not exempt us as Milan fans from our mandate to respect him. The respect due to Ancelotti is not sentimental not whimsical. It is indeed based on the strength of our love for the club and our appreciation for Carlo advancing the fortunes of Milan to the extent where we can legitimately claim to be the best club in the world.

These are the things Carlo has given us:
1) CL 2003
2) CL 2007
3) CL finals appearance 2005
4) Scudetto 2005
5) CWC
6) Super Cup
7)Copa Italia 2005

Show me a manager with a more impressive record, other than Mourinho and Capello- in such a short time-frame and I'll gladly make a retraction.

There are other fantastic intangibles that Carlo is soely responsible for that make Milan what it is (or was). These in particular we should be grateful for:

1)THE MOST DANGEROUS CENTRAL ATTACK IN EUROPE (well maybe I should put "formerly" before that statement but whatever )
2)Pirlo's full potential expressed in red and black (however it must be said that our over-reliance on Pirlo has cost us dearly this term)
3)Complete nurturing of Kaka into the Kaka we know today

I think it MUST BE SAID Berlu has ABUSED Carlo's resourcefullness. It's almost as if he keeps daring him to suceed with less and less infrastructure. Look at the other top clubs and you'll notice that regardless of the level of successes they have achieved, there is always an ongoing rejuvenation/ maintenance in order to improve or maintain the club's competitive nature. ManU have recieved FOUR potentially world class signings in Nani, Tevez, Anderson and Hargreaves. Braca have gotten Toure, Abidal. Liverpool have gotten Torres, Voronin, Babel...and the list goes on and on.....their player arrivals are not dependant on the performances on their present team...simply on the NEEDS of the team.

People moan and b!tch all day about our lack of width in attack.....Yet Carlo on MANY occasions spoke about his attempts to sign Ribery (almost as good as quaresma imho) and Toni to finish off wide attacks, crosses. Berlu vetoes these and even our pre-contract with Toni How is Carlo at fault? Who is going to be our wide attacker? Slow: Gourcuff, Seedorf Janku and Maldinni (all due respect of course)? Old and injury prone Serginho or Cafu? Error prone Kaladze? It's obvious that we were allowed no contingency planning in the event that Oddo sucked...which has happened Against all logic people then say that he hasn't trusted the youth in our team enough while I will not completely dismiss that concern (I believe that the Aubemyang brothers, boriello and some of the defenders haven't been given a fair crack)....can you imagine the huge embarrasment we would have if they repaid our faith by flopping hard?? People would say "is he out of his mind trusting a kid with such a weighty responsibility blah blah blah" In fact Carlo HAS been vindicated by not trusting Gourcuff much in recent times witht he amount of rubbish the latter has played.

Tactically, there are other bones of contention. Playing two DM's is one, playing one striker is another....but really, if we have been giving us so many cheap goals of late...should we really weaken our defense? Most of our defense isn't able to cope with the speed of today's attackers.....are we really suggesting to remove the little albeit inept, cover they have?? Of course there is the counter argument that if we attack more we'll have to defend more. That is quite true.....however if we attack more...we'll get counter attacked more and given that we don't have:
1) any fast fullbacks (Stam Cafu Serginho)
2) Pirlo playing rubbish (dribbling infront of goal and losing it all season)
3) CB's that will get roasted (except for nesta) for pace
4) inconsistent goal keeper(s)
5) only TWO counter-attacking players (when ronaldo's out)
6)Gattuso's penchant for giving up bad fouls
7) Perpetual unfavourable descisions by the referees

Can we really blame Carlo for covering his mzk57?

Finally I'd like to address his seemingly inane substiturions. I too question the validity of bringing on the likes of Brocchi and Emerson- particularly when we are down.....however anyone who understands Carlo's philosophy would know that he strengthens attack by ensuring that the defence is covered. He brought on Maldini when we were a goal down vs PSV (I think) and I was like wtf? another f**king defender?? However the speed of the attack improved and we eventually got the goal. I made a decision not to question Carlo's tactical ability fromthat day on. I'm just an abnormally sexy trini engineer he is a professional coach and a Milan legend.

Obviously the list of trophies is impressive for any coach with any amount of resources and I have never said he should be fired but if the issue is coming down to needing a coach to fight with management constantly for signing then thats no use either. The issue is using what he has more which relatively speaking (to other coaches) he has not done. Saying Gourcuff is rubbish based on scattered starts and subs I disagree with, of course he hasn't shown to be the new Zidane or whatever he was called but there is got to be more and better use of the limited resources you allude to.

Same here, I agree.

I hope that Carlito will remain in Milan for the next two years and then, why not, become the national coach (so after World Cup 2010).

Nowadays, the only other coach (other than Carlito) I'd like to see in Milan is Spaletti, he built an amazing team in Roma (he had/has time, like Carlo had/has with us).

Firing Ancelotti to take Mourinho (1 CL in Porto, national trophies with unlimited budget in Chelsea)/Rijkaard (seems in difficulty when it is "bad days" for his club and due to pressure)/... for example would be like buying Toni to play in defensive midfield for us.

So Ancelotti for life !! I discovered Milan with Ancelotti as a coach in 2003, we're in 2008, it is still him as a coach, we had many IMPORTANT trophies, that's amazing and he still can give us trophies for the few next years (before allowing Italy to become again European Champion and/or World Champion !!).
