UFFICIALE: ZAMBROTTA AL MILAN!
31/05/2008
MILANO - Ufficiale dalla società: Gianluca Zambrotta è un giocatore del Milan.

source: www.acmilan.com

Welcome to Milan, Zambrotta! You finally come!

Great addition to the squad for next year I must say!

kef · 31-05-2008, 15:37

Wow, great news indeed. The second great addition to our team. This should temper the madness of some posters here (for a little while though

).

_Ace · 31-05-2008, 15:37

was just thinking opening this thread, Jeff.

anyway... the full article http://www.acmilan.com/NewsDetail.aspx?idNews=67393

I hope he can play on the right back, and Janku on the left, and when needed on the left...

now this completes my day

t.gianni · 31-05-2008, 15:42

That is very good news! I don't think we signed players this quickly last season. Kudos to Galliani and Co. for being quick this season.

Siregar · 31-05-2008, 15:43

Welcome Zambro! Even he is old, underperformed but we are already too hungry of new players.

Of course. This is what I want from Milan, signing less famous/not-very wanted players before Euro.

Then as Ace said, 6 from 8 to go!

Jeff · 31-05-2008, 15:52

HE is not famous? Umm... not very wanted? That's only for Barcelona.

Picking players is like picking stocks. You pick those that everyone thinks will underperform and you pick it.

Then you earn big.

That makes me think of Pirlo and Seedrorf

Reza · 31-05-2008, 15:58

Great news. Welcome Zambro.

I am not saying that Zambro is not famous but less famous and not-very wanted (because of his performance with Barca and also his age) compare to our other targets Ronaldinho, Drogba, Eto'o etc.

We could see the news surrounding Zambro. If I can say a club that also linked with him was Juve (not very often). It's not like other targets.

slicknick · 31-05-2008, 16:03

Still somewhat skeptical, as he is 31 now...But let's wait and see, and I really hope he proves me wrong. Welcome aboard, Gianluca !!!!

Mystik · 31-05-2008, 16:03

I too hope he shows us his Italy/Juve form and not the Barcelona form which was simply atrocious more often that not. He'll definitely be a step up from Oddo though!

Even he is old, he could be our new super sub. He can play in many roles (fullbacks, attacking midfielder or even forward as he used to play it in Bari). Just remind me of Serginho regarding the roles they can play (but Zambro can play on the right side).

Hasan Rossonero · 31-05-2008, 16:08

I am thrilled with this signing!!

marcovb · 31-05-2008, 16:11

Finally!!!

Now with the surgical mercato like Galliani said maybe they will find money for another defender and a striker

remote2book · 31-05-2008, 16:11

yess finallyyy!! great signing benvenuto zambro!!

true... but he totally tore apart Belgium's defense last night, setting up that chance for Borriello... and including other crosses...

and as Siregar said, he can play in many roles, adding more depth to the squad...

I feel Oddo will be sold or loaned..
