Our squad is now put up... and it is massive. I am sure there will be some
trimming and that Digao somehow stays.

M: Emerson, Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Zambrotta, Flamini and Brocchi.
A: Kaka, Seedorf, Paloschi, Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Pato and Borriello.

12 defenders (Abate listed as a defender)
7 midfielders (Zambrotta listed as a midfielder)
7 attackers (Kaka, Seedorf and Ronaldinho listed here)

Darmian and Paloschi, young players up for loan? Darmian stay in primavera?
Abate out on loan as suggested? Probably for the best.
Simic and Digao? Seriously both should just leave already. Unless we need to fill up people at the training grounds.
Favalli? we already have 4 fullbacks without him... why did we talk about having a smaller squad when players like him stay around?

If all the above leave (Darmian could stay in primavera) then we would have:

3 goalies. (all second choice )
4 fullbacks. (two can play on both sides)
4 central defenders. (3 of them can be used as fullback)
5 defensive midfielders (of different flavour)
1 regista (as usual)
3 AM/playmaker
3 strikers.

that is about right for next season as far as personel is considered. Yes, improvements can be made, but I don't need to talk about those. Not counting young Darmian and Paloschi I see us having 4 players to many, even if I could see some use for Abate for tactical reasons. Better for him would be a loan.

I thought Emerson was retiring. No?

Digao is Kaka's brother. One of the reasons he came here was to keep Kaka here. It might be good to loan him to a club nearby, but I don't think it would be wise to sell his brother to a different club. He could be loaned out to Brescia or Cremonese.

I don't know but it seems to me there are some mistakes in that official roster. Either way, it all looks damn good... Emerson most likely will stay. Simic and Brocchi should be sold to trim excess on the squad. Depth and excess are two different things for sure...

We should sell Favalli (or perhaps he could retire), Brocchi (Fiorentina as I said may want him back) and Simic (Celtic is interested I hear)...

Any ideas on shirt numbers. We already know that Ronaldinho is 80 plus I noticed Antonini and Abbiati chose 14 and 12 respectively today.

How about Borriello, Zambrotta and Flamini? Probably 11, 2 and 24.....just guessing.

aaahhhh so bitter about abate.... oh well, its better long run. i just hope we dont hit injurycrisis. As long as i dont see brocchi in lineup, i'll be ok.

btw flamini took 24. Still unsure on zambro and borriello though.
