What should we do with Dida?

Personally, since there is no taker, I would suggest making him earn those 4.5M by creating a very tough trainning schedule for him to follow. Knowing that nobody can truly follow that tough trainning schedule, MGT will have the rights to cancel his contract based on the fact that he was being unprofessional, ie: not completing the trainning.....

IT is a win-win situation, if Dida can do it, he will be once again a solid keeper, if he fails, MGT will have the rights to fire him.

Well, can't pull the trainning thing on him as he will just cliam he is injured.
One way to do thing is to keep him injured, that way insurance will pay his salaries, in NHL/NBA/MLB, insurance pays 85% of the injured players' salaries, don't know about Serie A. But anyhow, that means we will pay less of his salaries and does not need to think about him being a player. Which means Milan can sign replacement, HERNANES, anyone.

I agree with these players should be sold (maybe except Dida), but I don't think Milan can afford it now.

Train them hard and make them quit? How old are you? We were the one giving them contracts, we are the ones that seemingly want to keep most of them. Simic and Brocchi we could both have sold if we wanted, Favalli we could have failed to give a longer contract.

Unfair treatment of individual players may cause unrest and could easily unsettle the morale of the whole team. I agree those players are dead weights to us but it's not their faults that they were signed on lengthy contracts.

Well I think Favalli is worth a lot more for this team than all the other guys named in this thread. Off course Favalli has not the 'fuoriclasse', but he's experienced and does never surrender. He is a good stand-in for almost all our defending positions, so I think better we keep him. Simic left allready (finally!) and Brocchi, he has done his job, but it's over. Go play in a relegationzone-squad, but not in our Grande Milan. Emerson is a grandpa. I never understood why he came in. For Dida I hope he will find some piece of his old class back. He was on top of the world, when Nelson can approach that form he remains being a true valuable Milanista - but Abbiati is still better than he.

Selling Emerson? You must be crazy. This man is a worthy benchplayer and very useful to the team.

Everyone who sees football knows that Emerson is not done...

Emerson did well in pre-season. HOpefully he'll be able to continue his form into the season.

After watching the penalty shootout between inter and Roma, you hve to admit that Dida is a very very good penalty stopper.

I would probably send them to a island were there is no way for them to come back to Milan!

But it's not like American Football where we can sub him onto the field whenever there's a penalty.

I would like to replace Emerson with Arouca ( i think Abraão would appreciate this one ) and quite to the surprise of many of you i would probably keep Brocchi as a squad player.

For me one of Dida & Kalac has to go. Neither are reliable anymore and unfortunately Dida's histrionics and wages make him the one most likely to be struck off the books. I would replace him with either Boruc or Shay Given.

As for Favalli, well i like his heart, he always gives 100%, but unfortunately he's just not that good and doesn't offer anything to the team. I would ideally replace him with Zhirkov who is probably one of the best LBs around right now. However, i know the chances of us buying a player of that calibre are slim, so as a cheaper alternative i would maybe go for Sirl.
