Matchday Two results:

E AaB 0-3 Man. United
E Villarreal 1-0 Celtic
F Fiorentina 0-0 Steaua
F Bayern 1-1 Lyon
G Arsenal 4-0 Porto
G Fenerbahçe 0-0 Dynamo Kyiv
H Zenit 1-2 Real Madrid
H BATE 2-2 Juventus

I saw the Arsenal match and my oh my what a performance it was. Deserved to win 7 or 8-0 with the way they dominated Porto. Goes to show that to dominate midfield, you don't necessarily need more CDMs but just people who are comfortable on the ball, willing to run and can keep possession. Clichy is a beast btw.

Porto were pretty poor, especially defensively. If you're going to allow players that much space and not put in any decent tackles then you're just asking for trouble.

We should definately put all our effort into getting Fabregas and reuniting him with Flamini

We have so many central midfielders (not that Fabregas wouldn't deserve to start over them) but due to the history they have with the club...etc etc yadda yadda, I doubt we'd bring in such a good CM who'd relegate Ambro etc to the bench. Besides I also think that if Cesc is gonna go anywhere...it'll be to Barca when Xavi hass past his time. Also if Gourcuff impresses, we may actually keep him instead of selling him to Bordeaux.

- Kaka

Pirlo - Flamini - Fabregas midfield is such a temptation though.........

Some good and important goals for Liverpool. Keane's goal was expertly finished and should come as a bit of a relief to him, while Gerrard's strike for his 100th Liverpool goal was another nice milestone.

The two ties between Liverpool & Atletico Madrid should be quite enjoyable if they can continue this high scoring.

Shame Afellay didn't play, but a bruised toe can do that to you

Atletico Madrid are doing great i think they can sursprise all and win the title, and this would be the best thing can happen in this champions league cause it's so boring without Milan:S

As much as I hate to say it...the other Italian teams in the CL REALLY aren't impressing. Is is something wrong with Serie A ? When I see Madrid TOY with Bate then Juve struggle to draw with them...then something really wrong. We're only two matches into the competition so I hope they'll improve.

Aside: Sergio Aguero is a BEAST.

No Milan in UCL = No Italy.. Inter/Juve have been very poor since the 90ies (except the odd 2003 season) I was hoping Fiorentina would reach far but the French cheats messed it up for them and now they have to work harder.

Well i cant say whoe's gonna win the CL but i can say for sure that the best football is played from Arsenal and Zenit. I love to see those teams playing. They play amazing football! I wish to see them in final.
