Juventus-AC.Milan 14/12/2008

Cant wait for this game. So far the standing is this one :

W-D- L-GS- GA-Pts
Inter 11-3-1 -23-8-36
Juve 9-3 -3-23-10-30
Milan9-3-3-21-13-30
Napoli 8-3-4 -22-15-27
Fiorentina 8-2-5-22-14-26

We have probably Boriello out for this match according to goal.com and also Pirlo (I havent check it yet how long he will be out since the last game), but Juve also has a same problem, even worse because many of their players are injured, the last update that I checked is:

David Trezeguet
Gianluigi Buffon
Cristiano Zanetti
Dario Knezevic
Cristian Poulsen
Jonathan Zebina
Tiago Mendes
Mauro Camoranesi

In the last few matches they were played their mid like this:

Against Palermo: (4-3-3) Sissoko,Poulsen, Marchisio (Giovinco,Amauri,Del Piero)
Against Napoli: (4-2-2): Salihamidzic-Poulsen-Marchisio-Nedved
Against Inter (4-2-2): Marchionni-Sissoko-Marchisio-Nedved

Against Lecce they were a bit struggled to have 3 points (like we didnt ). They needed to used few of their sub players at the last match:

Manninger Grygera Legro Chiellini Molinaro Sissoko Marchisio Nedved Marchioni Giovinco Amauri

Chiellini was good and I still admirer him but the last match Seba Giovinco was really catched the attention. Need to be carefull with Amauri too. So I think it'll be a battle to have 2nd position and both side for sure looking forward to see Inter slips anytime FORZA MILAN

Why are we hoping that Pirlo doesn't start?

Nah, Im not blaming Pirlo, he played 4 games this season ( well its was 1 point from those 4 ...). I blame bad back 4, bad coach and Nesta injury, to be sincere. But I'll explain why I wouldnt field Pirlo in Torino.

We cant play serious football with pirlo, Seedorf, Dinho, Kaka' and one forward the team. Taking Pirlo out in a place for one more DM which assures normal tightness in the middle, behind Dinho-Kaka'-Seedorf. A team in 4-5-1 formation with only one out of central five that can defend ( and with Gattuso out ) is not a team that can go and win vs Juve in Torino. Im sure you all realise that. Lets be serious. Its out with Pirlo or Seedorf, my choice is Pirlo.

It was possible before with onr 2004 back line which was the best in the world, but its not now.

Explanation taken.

For a second I thought that people were blaming Pirlo for our bad form in this thread, although it's clear that a lot of people around are claiming that. In my eyes that would be realy unfair to Pirlo who like Mrki said has only played 4 games. Yes, we've been prety bad in those games but no it's not all Pirlo's fault. If we are going to start blaming individuals lets blame Kaka's inconsistency as well. (Just a point I'm trying to make, so I hope I don't get stabbed for this comment) We won a string of games when Pirlo was injured but let's reflect back on them.....we hardly demolished an opposition and in most occasions the victories were unconvincing and decided by a flash of magic by one player, mostly Ronaldinho. It was only a matter of time until luck was going to run out and our difficulty in braking down defences was going to come back and hunt us.

As for the game against Juve, I agree that one of Seedorf and Pirlo has to be dropped. I would only want Pirlo to play if Carlo plays him further up the field and gives him the freedom to move around instead of keeping him right in front of our back line for 90 minutes. If that's not going to happen, and I'm sure it's not, then I go with Mrki and choose Seedorf...........even though knowing Carlo if Pirlo is ready he will most probably play. So I hope Pirlo realy shows up and dominates the middle in a way that we all got so used to watching untill some time ago.

By the way I just read this news on Gattuso and that will be a huge blow for us. Unbelieavable.....no luck at all with the injuries. I saw the incident when Gattuso twisted the knee and I feared that it was serious but when he walked it off I was relieved, although most knee injuries come to surface when the body cools down and players feel them the next day. Let's pray that none of this turns out to be true because he has realy been our best player this season.

I don't care who starts. But I am 100% confident about the final result & that will be an AC Milan victory. 2-0 or 3-1

Scorers: Kaka, Ronaldinho, Pato & Del Piero

Pirlo will start, Carlo has always had a soft spot for Seedorf, but even softer for Pirlo... I dont recall a single moment when Pirlo was at least 60% ready and didnt play. Thats Carlo`s system, it all revolves around Pirlo, or to be more precise everything starts with him...he dictates our tempo of play.

In last game that Pirlo played, individually he was good, as unity they failed so its unfair to Blame Pirlo just because he was new to the team.

Lets say we have a 15 games unbeaten record with Favalli in defense, And after a while Nesta comes back in defense, and we loose....Which one will even consider droping Nesta for favalli......i hope I made my point clear.

That Favalli explanation actually isn't too far off lol. When he was forced to play regularly in CB this season we got results. Soon as Kaladze and Senderos returned to the fold, things have gotten much worse.

You're right imo, as are a number of others, Pirlo isn't to blame for the recent drop in form.
