Milan /Atalanta

Hi ,
Im planning to bring my son to watch the Atalanta game at the San Siro..we are travelling from England and its the first time in Milan...Is it easy to get from the Milan Malpensa Airport to San Siro ? Its a birthday present but its getting very expensive anybody know of any reasonable priced hotels in the city near San Siro....would be well appreciated if anyone can help ? Thank you...

From Malpensa u have every 5 minutes Buses leaving for Milan central station(cost 7 euros). From the central station u have metros that connects with the city, including San Siro, or maybe u can use taxi. About the hotels, I think its easier to find in the area of central station, they have more reasonable prices, 50-60 euros per room, how does that sound?? Maybe u can try Madison Hotel, its great one and its in walking distance from the central station and Metro station.

Just got back from the Cagliari game...it was my first San Siro game as well



From Malpensa, there are many buses which transport you to the City Centre....use Autostradale as they have an offer of 15 euros for 3 tickets ( tickets offered bu other companies are around 8-10 euros per pax) When u reach Milan Centrale, u can take the Metro to Piazza Lotto which is the nearest Metro Station to the San Siro ( u can buy the metro tickets at any metro station and a one-day ticket costs around 3 euros . This entitles u to use any form of transportation around Milan fpr one whole day....I bought a 2wo day urban ticket n costed me 5.50 euros). From Piazza Lotto , u can use the bus to the stadium or even walk which would take u about 15 mins. Alternatively, u may also use the tram from the city centre, straight to the gates of the San Siro

For accomodation, there are many cheap hotels around the Milan Centrale Station...wud cost u around 40-60 euros per room per night. Hope you enjoy ur game, and have a safe journey ahead .

While walking to SS from the metro station, you`ll see a lot of people offering tickets for the game, dont be shy on bargaining.
