You can't have in two games with Zurich a draw and a loose.... we need more options by far but we are in 16 of CL which team you prefer to play with and why?...

If i have a mistake in the teams we can play please the admin to make the corrections...

That's about 2 months later.

Suppose it happens right now, I'd rather avoid Bordeaux, who conceded least goals and performed solid against Juve.

I sense it's Chelsea and Carletto this time, that it happened again and again so coincidence can't explain.

My favorite? MU, for their game style.

Sevilla really... Not a bad team, they beat Real Madrid, but compared to the other teams I'd say I'd chose them. I'd rather avoid Arsenal or Chelsea. Barca could be pretty fun, it would be amazing games, but I'd prefer to meet them in the final

Btw, anyone know when the draw is?

I picked Sevilla. Then again, if whatever I wish can come true, I would say "blah blah blah,,,,,, Milan wins the Champions League trophy beating whoever I don't care."

I would pick Bordeaux,

I would avoid Arsenal too, 'running team' can really give us lots of headaches atm! Barca & Chelsea? not now, latter stage is oK..

On the contrary, i'd pick Arsenal. Their defense is pretty bad IMO. While Vermaelen scores quite a lot for a defender, he's not really a solid CB, and neither is Gallas. I don't know when Clichy will return but their 2nd and 3rd choice for LB are Gibbs and Traore. I believe Pato can turn them inside out.

They have many skillful players in the midfield who can match our fantasistas. But our DMs are better. And I think we'll find it more difficult to face a team that emphasizes on physique than skills, like Inter, or Chelsea.

On the side note, many of their first team players are injured (van Persie, diaby, Clichy). That said, the games will take in feb, so many, many things can still happen.

I would actually pick Barcelona instead of any other teams.
B/C Barcelona is the least physical of the 6 teams.

i'd take bordeaux or sevilla and save the best (barca or chelsea) for the last

quarter final would be one of MU, arsenal or madrid then chelsea and barca for semis & final

where is geo the french oracle ?

seeing the list .. all the team is dangerous. 3 english team is hard to beat Sevilla is strong .. Bordeoux kick juve butt and CL champ Barca is also too good.

Maybe Arsenal draw will be good. We can revenge on them for our lost on this stage few years back. This will be extra motivation for Milan. Beside that they have muuch injury now and not on top form

Yeah, a lot of headache. Yet on the other side, I doubt many will choose Milan as their favorite next opponent. Some might rather face Inter. A bunch of links to the forums of the group leaders discussing this topic will be cool, I'm just lazy to research.

Ideally, I think we need other teams to either fear us or underestimate us. I think this plays a huge part in getting a result as we get the mental edge.

Whilst we're not good enough to be feared this season, I hope teams will underestimate us.

Let's not underestimate how important this aspect can be. Barcelona are feared right now and every team that plays them is often afraid to attack them. Teams like Inter and Chelsea (last season) approached them attempting to stifle them, rather than trying to impose their own games. With Chelsea it can be argued they had a gameplan, which almost worked, but ultimately I think they have the ability to attack and beat Barca, but were lacking the mental toughness to do so. Real, this season, actually went at Barcelona without fear and though they lost, they most definitely made Barca panic in a game that could have gone either way, which shows many fear a beatable Barca which ultimately lets Barca play their game.

The other side of the coin is underestimating opponents. Our results against Zurich are obvious examples of us underestimating our opponent and suffering because of it (Leo admitted we were arrogant in our approach). Similar arguments can be made of Man U in 2007 when we convincingly beat them 3-0, as no one thought we were capable of really pressing an opponent like that given our average age.

I almost want to say Bordeaux but then none are easy and Gourcuff will have something to say too.
