AC Cesena vs AC Milan -- 11/9/2010

Our second league game against newly promoted Cesena. Milan are waiting to see Zlatan and Robinho in action while Cesena have also bought about 4 players on the final match day. They have a very impressive Japanese winger and also bought Jiminez.

What formation would you like to see?

Personally, I'd like to see Flamini + Boateng start, like to see both Zlatan and Robinho play, also want to see Montelongo play a few minutes. He said he wants to be like Cafu!

I don't care who plays. Allgeri knows the best, maybe some players will be rested after their international duty. As long as we win (and preferably a clean sheet too), I am ok.

curious to see how max balances the formation with the arrival of robby and ibra. also, i think bonera did a good job at RB. if he stays healthy, give him a chance and give zambrotta a rest early on.

I don't think Robinho is going to start this one, Allegri made a point of saying that he wasn't fit yet. He'll probably come on late in the second half.

I can't wait to see Ibra, though.

Probable formation:

--------------Abbiati

--------Nesta-----Thiago Silva
Bonera-------------------Antonini
-------------Pirlo
------Ambro------Seedorf
------------------------Ronaldinho
---------Pato
----------------Ibra

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We've always been leaning left these past few years, but against Lecce, it's been almost exclusively down that flank. It's not a problem, though, because we have so much technical quality with Pirlo, Seedorf and Ronaldinho that we can rake in perfect passes to Pato that bypasses their entire midfield and defense. That stretches their defenders and now that we have Ibra too, that's going to put the fear of god into them as well. I don't think any team on earth would dare to play a high pressing defense against us, which is great, because that's the sort of opponent that drives us crazy. Pirlo and Seedorf will have lots of time on the ball and we can push up our defensive line ourselves, like we did with Lecce.

Compact, fast and deadly. I think those will be the keywords of Allegri's Milan.

Though Allegri will have his idea for the match, but I think that formation is the most likely to happen.

The defense has done its job and need more continuity. Ambro was good at both parts, he was tired in mid second half but he'll be more fit after 2 weeks. Seedorf now is also a player who can defend and attack.

Under Carlo, we usually had problem when teams packed their bus, but with Dinho, Ibra & Pato, Milan can attack at all left, right & center and each of them worth at least 2 players to watch for. They'll have the help of Seedorf, Ambro & Pirlo's longball.

I think in second half we'll see Gattuso & Boateng replace Seedorf & Ambro. That's a good & worked pattern. It is safe to do so and no professional player have the right to feel bad about it.

Forza Milan!!!

Don't forget our fast-delivering passes and random movements. That's what we rarely saw in Milan with Carlo or Leo. It is only about of time Seedorf, a midfielder, will score from this kind of set up.

You're right. With 2, 3 players who can receive the ball and become dangerous at the same time, it is hard for normal defense to reach. In Lecce match, we were always faster than opponent by a heartbeat.

If it was not for the first match and the team wasn't at it best yet, the score could be 6:0 to 10:0.

I've watched their last match, Cesena were not bad, but Roma were also unclinical & unlucky.

With enough concentration, Milan will win the match.

Forza Milan!!!

I predict Allegri will play the same formation as last time but with Ibra instead of Borri.
Then for sure Robinho will come on as a sub later.

For this game, I expect the use of our new depth ...

Abiatti
Abate - Sokratis - T.Silva - Antonini
Boateng - Pirlo - Flamini
------------------------ Ronaldinho
----- Pato ------------------------
---------------- Ibra ----------------

And I expect T.Silva to be replaced by Yepes, Pirlo by Seedorf and one of our attacking players by Robinho.

Let's not forget that few days after, it will already be CL !!

Oh, I forgot that, too.

From 11/09 to 02/10, we'll have a tight schedule with 3, 4 days/ match.

Cesena (A), Auxerre (H), Catania (H), Lazio (A), Genoa (H), Ajax (A) & Parma (A).

Let's win all

this year i'll be glad that we have so many matches because we have a bigger squad and need to play everybody and keep them happy and fresh...
and it will also be nicer to watch more matches when we can actually get good results

I don't like how Ibra is talking **** about scoring goals and defeting everyone, and how other players already see us in a CL final. All bull**** just win on the field.

I expect them to struggle against Cesena.

You know how every year the game we wait for the most is the Champions League Last 16 game in February? We wait for it sooo anxiously because we have been waiting 2 months and a half for a champions league game and its a knock out game and the most important in the season.....

I feel the same for this Cesena game. I am sooooo fired up and I cannot wait to see Milan play!
