Napoli

Overall: 3-3-1, 13 goals scored, 9 goals conceded
At home: 1-1-1, 5 goals scored, 5 goals conceded
Goalscorers: Cavani (6 goals) and Hamsik (3 goals)

Milan

Overall: 4-2-1, 11 goals scored, 5 goals conceded
Away: 1-1-1, 2 goals scored, 3 goals conceded
Goalscorers: Pato (4 goals), Ibrahimovic and Inzaghi (2 goals)

After our poor performance in Madrid, I think we'll see a refreshed midfield (Boateng and Flamini in ?), and more discipline in the team regarding the defence ... Well, it's what I expect to see.

For Napoli, they have a big game tomorrow against Liverpool, but we all know Napoli is a team loving these kinds of games ... especially when they are at home.

So a big game on Sunday evening !!

Our defense is my main concern here, especially because we're about to deal with one of the most in-form strikers this season, Cavani.

It's obvious that Nesta can only play well when partnered only with Silva and vice versa. The latter might be able to start but we must take into account that if I'm not mistaken, Nesta has been playing full 4 consecutive games in these last 2 weeks. I've been saying this since the game against Chievo, we should give this guy a rest.

That leads me to another question. Aren't Papa and Yepes supposed to answer the problem of our lacking decent CB back-ups last year? But how come Papa never given a chance after ONE rather poor display (I forget against who) yet we were continually tortured to see Bonera got the first option when either Nesta or Silva was injured? And what the heck is going on with Yepes?

actually nesta was resting during the inetrnational break and only played chievo & madrid so he should be fine

but i totally agree with what u said about bonera....he is a proven poor CB, Papa is 22, 1st season in a big team, played bad for 1 match, why does he not get a 2nd chance? and for me Yepes is also better than Bonera although i probably would not like to see him playing alongside Nesta...that would be too slow.

The only thing i am hoping for is to see boateng & flamini start.....i don't want 20 mins for this guy and 10 mins for that guy. they should start against napoli, and whatever happens and however they perform, they should start for the next 40 matches too....if we are going to have any hope for the future, it will not be with Gattuso, Seedorf, & Ambrosini, it will be with these 2 guys & Merkel & maybe Strasser

people are now blaming Flamini because it "must" be his fault that he "failed" to convince 3 different coaches (ancelotti, leo, allegri) whereas i am sure the guy has not played 5 games in a row (probably even 3 but i am just being safe) since joing Milan.

IMO, it's a matter of trust and believe...

The 'senators' get so many chances every week, they can play 10 bad games and just 1 good game, still get the nod every week.

Gattuso play at least 3 crap games before he started playing decently.

Papa plays 1 bad game and he's been rotting on the bench... Yepes hasn't stepped on the field at all...

Even KPB has been on form and by far the most consistent midfielder and yet gets demoted to the bench... Right now he can defend, attack and cover more ground than Gatusso, but guess who gets to start...

It's mind boggling...

PS - Had a drink with a liverpool fan, he said if Seedorf was a golfer, he should already be playing in the Champions Tour...

Maybe Galliani should create a 'league of champions'.... He can use his famous line of "we have a squad full of champions"

I am hoping Allegri s fast learner. If he s sensible i am sure he would never ever use a trio of seedorf-gattuso-prilo in his coaching tenure ever. If he does he s a faggot who s got some kind of an affection to those three. Dont want to say more. Am expecting improvement from this game on.

Al termine della seduta il tecnico rossonero ha diramato l'elenco dei 20 rossoneri convocati per la trasferta di Napoli:

Abbiati, Amelia, Roma, Antonini, Bonera, Montelongo, Nesta, Oddo, Papastathopoulos, Yepes, Boateng, Flamini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Strasser, Ibrahimovic, Inzaghi, Pato, Robinho.

Giocatori indisponibili: Abate, Jankulovski, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Ambrosini, Ronaldinho.
Non convocati: Onyewu, Oduamadi.

acmilan.it

Just when we thought we had recovered everyone..our injury list seems even longer than ever. Hopefully the injuries aren't serious and everyone will be fit again next weekend. What's going on with Onyewu anyway?

Not many posts for such a big game, huge game for us. We need to win so that we can stay with Lazio, a win will give us two points over Inter, a win will give us confidance for the weekend clash with Juve, then with Real Madrid, so many reason we need to win, but we usually fail when we really need to win. I think we may scrap up a draw but nothing more. Napli is a really good team. Player that we really need is playing for them Mr. Hamšík.
