Got my wish. 2-2
Inter plays Juventus next while Roma plays Lazio. Beating Cagliari provides the opportunity to separate even more from direct rivals
Udinese is one if the teams I despise the most in Italy. Just a team eternally stuck in mid-table. Never have they aver had any more ambition then that. They had countless chances to score goals today. Literally 4-5 counters resulting in 1v1s with the keeper and they missed them all. Then, in pathetic fashion, like the pathetic club they are...conceded on a set piece in the 91st minute.
Btw if you are talking about Udinese... I must say look what happened to Parma, they really bought some array of great young talents this transfer window but still it is January now and yet they have not incorporated any one of them except some Osorio guy. They preferred old rags look at them...LOL

Parma's biggest problem was not keeping Daversa. Liverani is a noob. One of those coaches like MG that wants to just endlessly pass the ball without any substance. And the worst part of it all is that they are satisfied with it. They think if the team passes the ball 50 times between the CBs, it's a good thing. Because they "have" possession of the ball. I call them "Pep orphans". They are stuck in the "possession is all" mindset while even Pep himself has moved from that concept and plays a lot more vertical.

I know losing Daversa wasn't entirely their choice. I think their transfer strategies didn't align (to your point). He wanted a little more then just fight for safety. Ironically enough, Parma's management wanted to play "attractive" and "dominating" football with lots of possession.....so hence simply not on the same page anymore.

Either way. I don't expect anything from Parma. But Udinese is a mainstay in this league. For years they've been there, and for years they've had the same pathetic mentality. A mentality that has spread to the players who look like emotionless robots out there. They are good enough to not get relegated. They are bad enough to not want anything more then that. The club is fine with that. The club knows that. The players know that. So they show zero ambition. They don't even care if they lose games because they know somehow they'll be fine come April....and then they give even less of a shit.

I don't know why certain teams really get to me.  Icon_lol2
Udinese is one of them. Atalanta used to be this way but we all know that lately they've shown ambition and have created a real project. But Udinese....I don't know. Even Bologna shows more ambition then them. But that's because Mihajlovic won't stand for anything less then that.
I do like and respect Mihajlovic even though he isn't a great manager but one thing that he does is he is quite brave enough to play young players even if it may cost his job. Donnarumma and Romagnoli are gift of Miha. Especially Donna, only a handful of coaches in the world can give a 16 year old a start make him a starter despite of mistake and errors he trusted him and look at him now...

That happens though. I always had that with Roma. Not quite the same as Udinese, but they similar. They're never good enough to win anything. If they do go to Europe, they are almost guaranteed to get humiliated in one match.
Roma are good enough to be top 6 but generally nothing else. They're a bit more historical and have a history of some great player's, so you might be surprised I put them, but Roma for me are the Udinese of the big teams.

I agree 100% about Udinese. I think early 2000's  they where more ambitious. They made CL and Sometimes pushed too 6. Now, I think they're accepted they are a feeder club. De Paul and Musso, potentially Lasagna should move teams if they want to be anything other than big fish in a small pond.
Again, fuck Jube.

They should of had 2 players red carded- Of course Sassuolo get someone sent off- They're struggling for top 4. I hope they miss top 4 and go bankrupt!
Yea. Juventus looked like trash. Which makes our loss to them even more frustrating. Too bad we had so many players out, otherwise this Juventus stood zero chance against this season's Milan.

I still don't understand why Bonucci's foul in the 1st half wasn't a red. Was that not stopping a goal scoring opportunity?

Btw...I like your analogy of Roma being the "Udinese of the big teams". haha
roma doenst have the mentality anymore to be a big team after totti is gone, the best they could come up is dzeko, but he is old already now, and they still cannot get over him, they need regeneration imo. udinese need a striker, a clinical striker that can score regularly, i dont think lasagna should be a starter there, he should start making more lasagna. parma have gone from interesting team to boring team. this year only sassuolo entice me. that team looking good. i have to admit the 1st time i see de zerbi take over from edf i dont think he had it in him.
Maybe Udinese's owners think they could make more money from Watford?

Re Parma. I was surprised when they hired Liverani. I guess the results so far this season can't lie. I wonder if the new owners would make another change soon? They're in danger of going down.

I've loved how De Zerbi's Sassuolo play. Though, I think he's still somewhat defensively naive a bit at times. But, he's one coach to watch. If he could get his team more solid defensively why retaining their attractive style of play ... would be a fantastic coach.

Any Italian coach who's exciting other than De Zerbi?
