AC MILAN
Pioli will sign a two-year contract worth €1.5M/year but there is a clause in the contract that cites that without qualifying to Europe the contract would be dissolved automtically by the end of the season [Corriere della Sera].

There is also a clause in Pioli's contract with Milan that he would receive €500K as add-ons should he manage to qualify with Milan to the Champions League [Corriere della Sera]
Pioli... His whole family and him are interistas.  Dodgy

Quote from his first day as a coach at Inter back in 2016:

"Bologna-Inter was my first game as a kid and all of my family supported Inter. Beccalossi and Pasinato were some of my idols. My coaching career took me elsewhere but I have always been an Inter fan."
Being a fan of another team even if inter doesnt matter as long as the coach does his best and acts professionally

Pioli arrives for Milan

As Stefano Pioli arrives at Milan’s offices to sign his contract, more details have emerged about the terms of his two-year deal.

Pioli was spotted checking into Casa Milan earlier this morning, ahead of an official announcement expected at 12:00 BST.

Corriere dello Sera reports the former Fiorentina and Inter boss will put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

It would include a gentleman’s agreement for a break at the end of the season if the Rossoneri do not qualify for the Europa League or Champions League.

As for his salary, the newspaper notes he will earn €1.5m this term, which will be upped to €2m in 2020-21 if they make Europe.
SIMPLICITY - As explained by today's edition of the Corriere della Sera, Pioli was chosen to normalize a group on tilt: his slogan will be "simplicity" to try to reopen a season that risks being finished almost before starting. The new Rossoneri coach arrived in Milan yesterday, but already in the previous hours he had discussed the project with Maldini and Boban on the phone, who guarantee for him and are convinced that he can succeed in reviving the Devil.

Certainly more than Maldini who kept criticizing projects way before last year, my doubts about him as a manager go back a long way, see my old posts. Is Maradona a good coach? There is no reason to say Maldini can be a good manager, we must put our love of him created on the pitch behind us.
Unless we know how to manipulate things ala PSG the quality of the squad is expected but the problem is even this squad can and must do better. When season started there was no reason for top 6 (may be top 4) to be out of reach.

He knows the world of football and FFP, but I don't think he expected Gazidis to be such a fundamentalist about only hiring young players. I do get the feeling that he and Maldini haven't been listened to enough. They know Milan better than anyone else at the club, and they know what kind of players are needed in order for the team to do well. Both have said that we're missing people with experience, and everyone can see they're absolutely right. Gazidis doesn't get it. He didn't get it at Arsenal, and the consequences of his youth-only policy are even bigger at Milan, because honestly the expectations are higher, given our history.
