Apparently the price for Roca is 15mil. More reports now that a deal is close. This is exciting! Why is it so exciting signing new players?!?

Still sceptical about another spanish player. I can't remember us having a good one.

Honestly, if the price or terms are good enough, i would sign both Roca and Tonali. I know there is the "redundancy" argument, but midfield is sooooo crucial and we need to ensure we don't run out of quality there even if it means we are a little thin in some other areas. Inter and Juve have a ton of depth in midfield and for good reasons. Bennacer can play a more advanced role too so we can play three of the four (KEssie, Benna, Roca and Tonali) at the same time if we needed. I just don't want us to ever run into a situation where we have to deploy Krunic or Biglia level players in the middle of the park for us next season because it is going to f up the game for us even if we have superstars everywhere else.

I don't disagree that we need quality depth. A top club needs to have at least 15 starters. Not 10 starters and then the rest back ups. When we had Rui, we still added Kaka. We had Sheva and Pippo, but we still added Crespo, etc.
So yea, I don't see why having Bennacer-Kessie should stop us from signing snother 1 or 2 quality midfielders. Let them fight it out for a starting spot.

But we have to be mindful of what else we need. And money is not unlimited.

Having an abundance of quality players is the least of my concerns. But of course, all areas need to be strengthened so we have to see what we can afford.

As of now, we should have a 100m transfer kitty with the sale of Suso. There are some players that we can sell like Laxalt, RR, Conti, Calabria, Krunic, Paqueta, Musacchio, Duarte. We should probably spend that on 4-5 players, 20-30M each and some sales should do the trick.

If he can be a right footed Theo, then for me, yes. 

A year ago we spent 20mil in Theo....knowing what we know now...I don't think anyone would be complaining a year later had we even spent 30 back then. Would have been money well spent.
