It's also the quality of the connection (your line, your ISP, your router, etc.), I don't play because I am not a gamer but you will know when you try it. Lag can happen even for 10Mbps for example.

Urgh, I'm so irritated by the game right now. Was in career mode, and Thiago Silva (I think he's the best rated defender in my game) was sold by the board behind my back to Real. Not only that, he was sold as apparently he was unsettled in Milan, despite being my longest serving player after only Ambro, Rino and Pato and being the club captain. On top of that, they sold him for just £17m!!!

I haven't played the career mode yet. Did you make it so that the board handles all the transfers? I remember I did that in PES last year and they kept selling all my good players..and bringing crappy players as replacements :S

No, I handle my transfers, but there's this whole new system of player morale, where they try to simulate players mental state based on certain variables, such as how often they play or rumours around them. In Thiago's case, there had been rumours in the press about him being unsettled, but I chose to mostly ignore it as I couldn't do much (he'd had a contract extension, was captain and playing pretty much every game). What annoys me is there was nothing I could've done to try and keep him.

Btw, I forgot to mention I'm talking about FIFA 12 in my last post.

Also, Abate is MIA, after a few seasons he simply vanished from my career mode, he's not on my team and searching for him gives no results.

I was PES oriented up until this release. I got bored of playing without licences (Yes, I know I can download mods, but why should I, when I can get Fifa). For me, the core gameplay is still better in PES, (I use old style defending on Fifa ) but overall this is the year Fifa beats PES.

Don't worry I knew you were talking about FIFA 12. I was just comparing your experience with mine from PES 2011. When I get time I'll start a manager mode on FIFA, but most times when I'm playing I do my H2H seasons to promote to higher divisions.

That's bizarre about Abate. Can't say I've had that problem. Personally, I think FIFA is a lot better than PES in terms of gameplay these days (you can get my full opinion earlier in this thread). I really recommend using FIFA's new defence system. It's hard, but it's so much better than the old one once you're used to it.
