The worrying thing is not De Paul or a good player going to another team, the worrying one is the Tonali transfer and how it is being handled. First of all to make it happen we are open to sacrificing a player or two, second of all other players will look at it and wonder about how their negotiation/transfer to Milan will be handled.
Totally agree with this part. I get that Maldini is an economically sensible director who wants to get a bang for every buck he spends, but this whole Tonali thing is turning bush league real quick. We already got Brescia to give us a discount, and now we want another discount on top of that. What half reasonable owner/director wouldn't be upset with that kind of negotiation tactic? Meanwhile, other teams are looking at that situation and now know that our words don't mean anything. We are losing credibility and all for the sake of a couple of million euros. It is one thing to be frugal and careful with money, quite another to be penny pinching like we do nowadays.
