Jorge Kaio? I think he was more often played as a striker and started most games only scoring 4 goals in the league all season. He seems OK but part of me says OLIVEIRA part 2

The best solution would be to sell Krunic and keep Pobega. But, alas, we know that ain't happening. Firstly, he's Pioli's secret son. Secondly who's gonna buy him and pay him the salary he's earning with us?

Castelijo is the favoured son. Will stay with Pioli until he gets fired at Xmas.

Sorry ahead of time for the long post. I haven't posted as much lately so just wanted to share my thoughts on what's happened so far and what I'd like to see the rest of the summer...


GK: Maignan, Tatarusanu, Plizzari
(1st and 2nd GK are set. But no point of Plizzari rotting on the bench. So I'd sign another experienced GK as 3rd choice for free or on loan...and let Plizzari go out on loan again OR use him as a makeshift in a deal if possible)

RB: Calabria, Kalulu, Conti
(It's not so pressing to sign anyone. Depending on opportunities, I'd leave it as is. We need to show Kalulu more trust. He grew more and more with the season and I think he can step in for Calabria as needed. As for Conti, I can't see him stay. It'd be nice to cash in on him if possible...whatever the money at this point. If he stays, he can come in useful too so not too worried about him)

LB: Theo, Ballo Toure
(All set here imo)

CB: Kjaer, Tomori, Romagnoli, Gabbia, Caldara
(All set. If someone leaves, someone needs to come in. Caldara is similar to Conti...although I think Conti can contribute more. Caldara seems to be done. I don't see him playing at all with those other 4 ahead of him. Hopefully he can be a useful pawn on the market)

CM: Bennacer, Kessie, Tonali, Pobega, Krunic
(Numbers wise...we are ok. Quality wise, very questionable apart from Benna & Kessie. We know Tonali's role. He will deputize behind those 2 and hopefully grow even more throughout the season. There is some talk of him pkaying with Benna-Kessie but slightly ahead. I like the idea, but not so sure Pioli will go for it. As for Pobega, he is talented. I don't want him sold. But I also don't want him rotting om the bench. Ideally, he would go on another year's loan and keep growing in order to finally come back next summer and be a part of the 1st team. But under no circumstance should he be sold. Krunic...whatever. i don't know what to say. As mediocre as mediocre can be. Yet he keeps playing. Ideally, I'd send Pobega on loan and sell Krunic. Then buy 1 more CM to complete Benna-Kessie-Tonali.)

RW: Saelemaekers, Samu, *Diaz
(We need a RW. Big time player. Otherwise we'd be screwed. Saelemaekers is great, but until he takes that last step in quality and actually dtarts producing an end product, he'd still be just the rotation guy. He hasn't done that yet, so we need a starter. Samu needs to go...but there are no rumors of that happening so it's a little worrying. I'm including Diaz here as I thinm of him as the attacking line's joker. He can play anywhere so excellent signing for us)

ACM: *Diaz, *Tonali, *Krunic
(Clearly we need a player here. We need a TOP player here. All 3 I listed are jokers. Diaz will likely play there the most. Tonali may not at all and I'm only including because of the possibility of him playing a bit more advanced. And Krunic is Pioli's long lost son. So he's likely to play there if needed. But the fact remains...we are not only missing numbers here, but we are missing quality first and foremost.)

LW: Rebic, Leao, Hauge, Diaz*
(We've all grown tired of Leao. Also, Rebic's inconsistency as well as Pioli's reluctance to use Hauge when those other 2 were clearly out of form and even injured. But the fact here remains that the LW position is ome with the least urgency when compared to RW and ACM. I'd leave this as is until we fix the other 2. Then we can see what opportunities are there for us to improve the left side...if possible)

CF: Ibra, Giroud
(We need 1 more player. I like the idea of a young striker to grow around these two. If Kaio Jorge is that, then great.)

I'm leaving out Maldini and Colombo. It's unrealistic to expect much from either at this point. Both need to go out on loan this season. Colombo even struggled on loan last season. So to think he can contribute here is not realistic or fair. 


So it's fair to say the lriority should be:
1) completing the CM as we only (realistically) have 3 players to rely on. Sign another player able to cobtribute NOW.

2) Sign a starting RW. Find a place for Samu that's not in Milano.

3) sign an ACM

4) sign another CF

5) Loan out Pobega, Colombo and Maldini.

Jokes aside though, as much as he's been annoying to watch here....anywhere else, he'd be worth at least 10M. Too bad that the only teams that would consider him are midtable ones that can't afford that or his salary.

True. That's always the problem with players who are both underperforming and overpaid.

They seem to see Kalulu more as a CB than a RB. Either way Conti needs to go and the supposed options, Dalot and Odriozola are good enough for the job of backup.

I think Caldara may go and we'd have Kalulu as 5th choice CB and 3rd choice RB. 

100% agree with that. I think we may not see a move on this till later in the window with Marseille seemingly holding out for a better price for Kamara. 

My Guess is we'll see more from Leao/Rebic if we get a quality CAM. Will be interesting to see what Happens with Hauge.

Kaio Jorge would be a great 3rd option. And bringing him now would give him the extra time to grow under Zlatan and Giroud.

CAM and RW are the absolute priority. Wihtout a top CAM and RW we'll likely not do as well as last season.

That's the Milan problem. We're slowly fixing that but takes time.

Interesting option, and I like if the management’s really keeping the salaries under control.
