Summer mercato 2021

I think this is more a Covid thing. hesitant to pump the cash in because they're not sure how the season will go. WE've signed a bunch of new sponsors and everything but if we keep spending then we're no further forward than we were last season.

Yep. We've got most of the right pieces. I feel we're missing the final piece or two and that's a good CAM and Startigng RW.

I know many here don't like him but I like Berardi. Will be interesting to see if this actually happens but we desperately need a RW and Samu to go.

He certainly has some flaws like no pace. For 40M he is way over-priced,  but he would be better than Samu for sure and Alexis (even though they're different type of player).
If we could get Berardi for 20-25M I would be fine with that. I don't see us getting Ziyech for RW.

Pity we couldn't include Samu in the deal. I think he is an OK player,  just not Milan level. Sassuolo,  Fiorentina or Toro is probably his limit.

I don't know. I feel like we are close to being a realllly good team. The pieces are there. We just meed 1-2 very good signings. It's too bad we seem to have no cash to complete those.

I think Vlasic is probably the target Pioli really wants. Sabitzer fits that role pretty well too, but with Bayern now in the mix, that track probably has gone cold.

I am not saying Pioli is right, but he is the coach and he decides on the style of play. We are better off giving him the right type of players for his formation instead of shoe horning him with someone who doesn't fit it. I think we have a good chance at competing in Serie A next year for sure. Inter has regressed and Juve hasn't gotten any better. I guess we will have to see what level of coach Pioli really is, because that could determine how far we really go.
Rumours of Milan being interested in Pietro Pellegri. Another one who is always injured...
Adli is fading away...

Pellegri is not bad move tbf, he was considered the most talented teenager 4 years ago, had very tough time dealing with injuries at Monaco. Its loan deal anyway. He still got potential
Forza Diavolo ale!!!

If milanlab  get him right, at 20 and on loan,  low risk, high reward. It's what Milan have to do right now.

Yes! Very excited to bring in this kid. Only 20yo .
With the current squad, I still don’t see how we’ll improve scoring. Last year we’re worst of the top 5 teams and we’re lucky with all those penalties. Unless we come right out of the box with aggressive pressing in the opposite half, I don’t understand how we’ll build the play to support more than 75 goals this year.

This. Relying on two veterans for the bulk of the goals is a recipe for disaster.

Strip out the pens and the midfield hardly scores. Can't see where the goals will come from as the pre season friendlies showed.

Mercato isn't over.

Lucky with penalties? Maybe some.
We where unlucky to only have Ibrahimovic play around 50% of game's. I seem to remember us kicking Serie A's ass until he got covid then injured . Rebic got covid and injured.
Mandzukic hadn't played in a year so was a gamble. Leao was Leao.
Currently, Giroud is an upgrade on Mario. Rebic and Ibra hopefully are available more than not, oh and we don't have Hakan " driving " the attack who , like him or not, was abysmal in a lot of game's last year.
Whoever replaces Kebab will at least want to be at the club.

Wait to the end of Mercato and then judge/worry.
