Milan and Tottenham found an agreement over the transfer of Franck Kessie but the player has rejected the move, according to a report.
According to Calciomercato.com, Spurs boss Antonio Conte has identified Kessie as ‘the perfect profile’ to arrive in January and bolster a team that has top four aspirations, and he was so insistent that it prompted Fabio Paratici to step on the accelerator.
The former Juventus director immediately begun talks with Milan and after a few days of negotiations, the two clubs reached an agreement for the immediate transfer of the Ivorian. However, it was Kessie himself who put a spanner in the works.
That is because the 25-year-old intends to honour his contract with the Rossoneri and stay until the end of the season, with the Scudetto challenge deemed ‘too important an incentive’ for the midfielder, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations.

He wants more money, but I guess he also wants CL. So why move to Tottenham if other bigger clubs are interested?

That's a change of position cause he himself mentioned CD is needed cause of Kjaer absence, Tomori absence doesn't make it better but our supposed CD need started before Tomori injury. Why not renew with Kessie for 7 or 8 millions. And sell him nexy year+ PSG will easely pay 50 mill + for him. I dont understand why argue on 1 million a year when the alternative is 50 million euros. I simply dont understand it. You can say the same about Donnarumma, Hakan etc. When their true self come out in the negotiations(money talks). Give the the renewal and sell! With 60 mill for Donna, 25 mill for Hakan, and 50 mill for Kessie, we could have bought Vlahovic, Wirtz, and other class talents.

The positive is we don't get a desperate signing thar will probably suck (Bailly, Tanganga).
But we needed Botman or other promising defender.
A report says our offer for Romagnoli is more than halving his salary. Doubt he signs on for 2.5M and we won't know Kjaer's condition for a while.
Tomori, Gabbia and Kalulu is how you have to consider our CB stock next year.

The funniest part is his reason for staying. Somehow the guy who is leaving us for a few more bucks is acting like the Scudetto is the thing he cares about most in his life. Yeah, sure. My guess, the other teams are offering him more money to sign but he only gets that salary if he signs as a free agent.

I completely disagree. because few clubs are going to spend good money on him AND a huge wage. The guys available on the cheap and only 1 team interested in making him permanent now. He was up for grabs start of the season and no one came knocking.
Same as the Gigio thing. the only offer was Areola plus 20m or similar. Hakan had been for sale the season before he left for free and we got no real offers.
it's always easy to say sign the player and then sell him but this isn't FIFA. this isn't how football works. Especially these days when it's so easy to just offer the player and agent a bonus for them to ride out the season and sign for free instead.
That's not to mention that no ay is Kessie worth 50m. maybe 30m at best. Hakan for 15-20m and Gigio for 60m is about what they should be worth but at the end of the day, on paper value means jack. the real figure is what clubs are willing to pay. I mean just look at the EPL with frauds like Harry. he's not worth more than 5m yet he went for almost 100m
