To be fair, Mastour was famous because of some youtube highlights whereas Camarda is actually playing against guys much older and making them look silly. I don't believe Mastour was ever really a good player at any level in terms of his contributions. But of course, projecting stardom for 15 year olds is a fool's errand.

Whatever it is, I hope we buy Italian. Fratesi, Berardi, Belotti have all been missed chances imo. I know football is bigger than your local market but it's a shame we only have 1 italian player in our starting 11 most of the time.

Can't we naturalize tomori, hernandez and bennacer. Would be beneficial to the italian NT as well :p

About CDK, football is very much about enviroment. Milan was to big of a step for him, and that shows now. In Atalanta he feels important, just like in Brugge. He was a hero over here and player really well. To be honest i think we did good business if Atalanta pays that 23-25 million at christmas. I wish him the best of luck, but clearly Milan is not a team that fits him off the field, and on field. And look at our formation now, he would not fit anywhere, maybe as a reserve RW, or transformed to a Two ways CM. None of this is ideal. 

CDK is a good player, and a good guy. Wish him all the best, and thanks to Atalanta for 23 million.

I have always liked a Milan team with more Italians as well, however, it is not happening anytime soon nowadays. 

First off, there are not too many great Italian players now. Italy unfortunately is going through a drought with talents. Fratessi is known Interista and openly rejected us during the summer; Belotti is Milanista (I believe) but he is deemed not good enough; Chiesa is Milanista too but Juventus got involved and we had no chance. My biggest regret has always been Tonali.

Perhaps the more important reason is financial. The tax break for foreign players has a significant impact, so Italian players become unreasonably more expensive, both in transfer fee and salary.

P.S. I don't think Theo Hernandez will want to be naturalized after appearing in WC final for France. Certainly wouldn't benefit Italian NT as they can't use him any more.

He isn't purchased yet. No way a team would purchase in December. Also, did you see his miss in the Atalanta game? Amazing.
