Chukwueze looks like another expensive flop. 28M splurged on a player who was on last year of contract and is essentially Samu Castilejo v2.

At least CDK was young and highly rated, Chukwueze just appears to be a mediocre journeyman.

Will probably be shipped out on another loan with option deal next season.

Loaning out Gabbia to Villareal and giving them 28M looks increasingly like scam of the year.

Moncada is overhyped and buys plenty of duds too.
I have to agree there, Chuckwueze looks terrible! Samu 2.0
Messias and Saelemaekers looked much better. Also CDK showed a lot more in the beginning of last season.
We paid 28m for him! He can only use his left foot, a defender knows what he will do.

Still early to judge but still it is not easy to buy players.

Offcourse, sometimes players just need some more time. Many players struggle in their first year in a new club / league.
But so far he has been extremely poor.
Very similar stats:

Samu Castillejo 30 goal contributions in 150 La Liga games
Samu Chukwueze 39 goal contributions in 155 La Liga games
told you chuk is not worth the gamble to change from saele
