Winter mercato 2024
Getting Buongiorno wouldve been good as the guy would almost be an immediate starter, and he’s a winner, a leader.
The others linked are not, most of them need time, or they are deadwood from other clubs.
Kjaer/Gabbia/theo will do for the next games. And then tomori and thiaw will be back! I dont see the point in signing another CB. We also have simic who has done well. I dont think Pioli really believes in him…
After Luka Romero went on loan at Almeria, now Davide Bartesaghi goes on loan at Frosinone until the end of the season. Dry loans both of them.

Agree on Buongiorno. Italian defenders know the game better than anyone else when it comes to defending. They may not get all the praises all the time, because they're not always fun to watch. You wanna keep the ball away from your net you buy Italian defenders period. Di Marco, Acerbi, Bastoni none are super stars but they are clearly getting the job done having the best defense in the league.

Tomori & Thiaw have speed, they sometimes dribble their way out of danger and all that, but I've felt safer with Gabbia back there in all honesty.
Problem with Gabbia is that when intercepting, he knocks the ball out or just randomly kicks it up field. That can be helpful, but great defending beyond preventing dangerous situations involved maintaining possesion. I’m optimistic for this to develop as he can learn a lot from Kjaer and he has already come back more aggressive. I think last year messed with his head.
Rumours say we are talking with Los angeles fc about divock origi! It would be brilliant to get rid of him!
Thats like 8m a season we dont have to pay anymore. Even if it is on a free transfer it would be brilliant. Lets hope they sign him.

Not sure why we're asking €5m for him though (at least that's what I read). It will just make it even harder to get rid of him. Just to get him off the roster would be a miracle if it were to happen.
I seriously dislike Bennacer so much after this AFCON sht, this cvnt was injured for half a year and when he was fit again he leaves the club that pays him to get injured again.
I hope we sell him this summer, he isnt reliable after all, 70% of the time he is injured

I wouldn't use the strong words of yours Big Grin but I shared your sentiments exactly. If you go back to my old posts, you can see that I would rather that he continued to stay injured until December and had to miss the AFCON. When he came back ahead of schedule and played like 1.5 games for Milan to warm up for his NT, I was actually quite pissed.

It is hard to say no to your national team, however, it shouldn't be unthinkable in this situation. (1) He just spent 8 months getting paid and doing close to nothing for the club other than some cheap lip services on social media; I think Milan even allowed him to travel for some personal/religious stuff--but I can't recall exactly the details. (2) He won AFCON 4 years ago as MVP of the tournament. I think, with both considered, if Bennacer appealed to the coach, he will get to stay at Milan. Many players have got out of NT duty for less. It is apparent that he never wanted to.
Apparently he'll be back for next weekend's game against Frosinone.

I love Bennacer as a player. I think he might even be the "missing" piece in our midfield. But yes, I agree with you guys. Him going to AFCON was beyond stupid and disrespectful to Milan.

In any case, we've done well without him. So whereas I was really against selling him up until now....I think we can allow ourselves to let him go if a good offer comes in over the summer. Of course, he'll need to be replaced in the squad. But when it comes to missing his quality...as I've said, we've proven to do well without him so whatever.
He just isnt reliable, always injured. If someone want to pay 20m for him I’d say sell him!
