Calciomercato: Milan are trying to find new homes for both Divock Origi and Fode Ballo-Toure in the summer with both players currently failing to impress whilst on loan in the Premier League.

I think it will be almost impossible to get them sold, or even give away for free. Maybe we can buy off their contracts so they will be free to sign for whatever club. It will cost us some but probably less than keep them in the squad.

Tuttosport: Milan could be in a similar position to last year, where they sell a big player to invest, the player being considered for this currently is Mike Maignan. He is seen as the ‘most expendable player of value’, and should an offer of €80 million arrive, the club will sell.

80 million is very unlikely but even 65 would be great. It is as much to do with how bad sellers we are as it has to do with Maignan's quality.

Reijnders with an excellent performance for the Netherlands, goal and an assist! Beautiful player and he was a great signing! One of my favorite players. He should improve his stats a bit more. But his shooting is improving it looks like.

as things stand now, we can only regret for not having sold Maignan earlier for more.

Not sure what the problem is. If he renews, great. We got one of Europe's top GKs in our squad. If he doesn't, then sell. Whether we get 40,50,60,80, etc...it doesn't matter. It's still great business. We can't think like that....."should have sold hom last summer, etc". You never know the future and it's easy to talk after the fact.

Imo, the 1st thing to do is attempt to extend. Then, if that can't happen, sell, but obviously only out of a necessity (due to a business decision).

To be clear, I don't want us to sell any of our big starting players. Not Maignan, not Theo, not Leao, etc. If what we've heard lately is true....and I think it is because it came straight from the leadership....then we'll have at least 50m to spend this summer WITHOUT sales. So go and spend that on a CF and DON'T SELL our top players. One player only......a top CF with that 50m. If we can than manage to sell some deadwood, great. Use the proceeds from that to get the other needs such as a DM, RB, backup LB, etc.

I'm OK with selling players like Bennacer (i dont consider him a first 11 player anymore), Gabbia, Pobega, any of the already loaned out players, etc. But I don't want to touch 1st 11 players. No need to "open a hole in the starting lineup" and then spend the money we got on fixing that hole. I think we need to keep our quality, and add to it. Otherwise we'll always play catch up and we'll always be patching up holes that we ourselves create.

Enough of the 20m players. We did that last summer and got a lot of quantity. Some of the players got a lot of upside and we expect them to improve in the future (Musah) and others were already ready (like Reijnders, Pulisic, RLC). Now it's time to focus on quality. Just a couple players, that's it. Ones that will bring our level up immediately. Solve games for us, etc. I don't care about the age of the players tbh. Young or old. Just make sure they have top level quality.
