How bad is he?

This is from wiki...

Porto 2014 - fired midway in his second season. Didn't win any silverware, which is kind if hard to do with Porto.

Spain (2016-2018) - did ok in WC  qualifiers, but it's Spain, come on. So I won't even count that. Then got fired befor3 a single game played at the WC as Sampinjon said.

Real Madrid 2018 - concede 4 goals in his 1st game, and is only the 2 manager in Real's history to "achieve" thus. Lost to Barcelona 5-1 in October and was fired only 3 months into the role.

Sevilla hired 2019 - won the EL against Inter in the final. Lasted longer then other jobs here, but in the end was still fired in 2022.

Wolverhampton (hired midway in the 22/23 season) - left by mutual consent th3 following summer.

So you judge yourself on how "bad" he is. Big Grin I'd rather keep Pioli. At least we know what we are getting with him.
Yeah that doesnt sound good at all. I hope he wont be the one, better keep pioli.
We need an upgrade, or at least someone with the potential to be an upgrade on Pioli. Someone who is cookin now.

But there is something exciting about him and what he's doing at Bologna. If he can bring that to a big club, there's definitely top potential.

I'd add Conceicao from Porto to that list. He's been there aince 2017 and has done a great job. He's also familiar with Italian football having played in Serie A in the 90s/early 00s.

And I'd take Conte off the list. Not because he's not better than Pioli. Of course he is. But I just don't think he aligns Milan's vision as a club. It's not gonna be long before he's clashing heads with the management over players that he wants/doesn't want.

If I had to create a list, I'd say: De Zerbi, Conceicao, Motta

Agree about Conte and I remain hesitant about Motta.

Refereeing/VAR is bad in Portugal but in Serie A Conceicao will be suspended every other week Big Grin his on sidelines temper will not suit Serie A lol.
The most important thing, i that the new coach is a demanding one, with tactical skills, not a stubborn people pleaser.
Curva Sud: "The change of coach is now mandatory facing a Milan that has long been boring, devoid of play, confused, inadequate, and unprepared especially in decisive matches"
Damn that Lopetegui sounds even worse that Pioli.
I don't know if I am in the minority, but I think Sarri will be a good short-term fix. Short-term because he is old but he certainly is tactically capable.

Sarri, Galtier,  or Hansi Flick
Sarri wouldnt be the worst pick. I’d prefer him over Lopetegui for sure.
But he wouldnt be in my favorite list either.
Also Xavi is getting mentioned. Same goes for Mourinho
What about Tuchel? he is finished in june. Yes he had a "bad year" but he is still in the semis of CL with Bayern, and was beaten by a Leverkusen who have a season of the century. I like Tuchel, he could be a fine solution.
