When taling about new managers, Gasperini is totally out of the question? Atalanta play truly beautiful modern football. Should have been 4 or 5 up in this first half. Tremendous half.

Eh, whatever. Those things happen. Not all transfers work out. It started bad for him, got even worse and then he lost confidence, was on the outskirts of the squad both as a player and as a person (he seemed awkward and never became part of a group in our squad).
Pioli has responsibility, of course. But CDK got chances on the field. Many of them. We could argue he wasn't in the best position on the field, etc. And that could be right. But the guy did not play well anywhere he was put in. He was missing sitters. He completely lost his confidence anit was good for him to go. I'm glad it worked out in Atalanta. I still don't see him as a top top player. I feel like he'll have a "Pašalič type" career at Atalanta. Which isn't bad....but it's nothing to cry about for us. Especially since we are recouping most of what we paid for him. |
