It's hard to believe we would sign Morata at this stage. Seems to go straight against the transfers I thought the owners wanted (apart from low transfer fee).

It looks like Milan are talks in for Fulkreig, as BVB are moving closer for Guirassy. Morata plus Fulkreig is definitely a huge boost than Giroud and Jovic but it would have been much better with someone young plus Morata/Fulkreig, but as Milan fan we can't complain much...

I was really looking forward to 2-3 top level (or top talent) players. I was convinced that with another (4th consecutive) CL qualification on top of all the news and "bragging" of how healthy our accounts are + some sales of fringe players......we'll be able to spend 150m this summer and sign those 2-3 top players. I thought this was the summer where we don't need to add quantity but quality. The core of the team is here and is good. Even the management has made comments in line with that thought process.

But the strategy is clear. 20-25m rated players, mostly in their last year of contract. Interesting to think that Moncada is considered this great scout....but we are not after any "unknown" players we've unearthed.

Football-italia: Divock Origi and Fode Ballo-Toure were meant to be training with the new Milan Futuro squad after failed loan spells in England, but are nowhere to be seen.

Strategy seems clear. Last year of contract player that comes from a good season. Obviously you will not find a hidden gem when all players come from a good season at a top league.

Preferably a player none else want at the moment.

Besiktas have agreed on deal with Milan to sign Fodé Ballo-Touré but there’s no agreement with the player. Ballo-Touré prefers to wait for English clubs, open to returning to the UK.
