Winter Mercato - 2025
Torino and Napoli are in the race for signing Casadei. I can not believe why we are not all over this ??
Did gerry forbid mgmt to sign Italians??
Not sure what Casadei have done to be worth fighting over.

Rashford could be a steal. He got real talent, but like Leao he need guidance.
Casadei is one of the biggest Italian midfield talents. We are in need for italians and midfielders, and chelsea wants to get rid of him… so why not try now instead of when he’s worth 30-40m like Ricci now

On what basis are we classifying Casadei as one of "biggest Italian talents"?
1. He hasn't done anything remarkable. 2. He couldn't get into the Chelsea team even as a reserve.
3. No club in England is interested in him.
4. He isn't in the NT, he's not even the best youth player in the Italy U-20 or U-21.

So I'm trying to understand this hype surrounding Casadei here.
Calciomercato: Leipzig want Okafor on loan with option buy. Relations between the clubs are good and there are positive feelings that a deal can be agreed.

Yet another loan, this clueless management get played by every club.

We are going to model after Chelsea. 23 man roster, 96 players out on loan

Won't be easy to sell such an injury prone player.

Carried Italy U20 to World Cup finals.
Chelsea bought him from Inter at the cost of 15M when he didn't even made his professional debut.
The hype around him is mostly CV based.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
I've seen Casadei play a few times.. Not super impressed. Big physical guy but his passing is rather lackluster and he's slow. He has that Busquets/Rodri physique and position but doesn't have anywhere near their level of technical and passing skills, nor showing the potential to get there... To me it's a waste and says Locatelli all over it. Go for Ricci, 35-40m well spent is better than 15-20m thrown away.

Rashford's agent met with Milan management today, further developments to come. Loan + Option to buy, salary covered 50% by MU for the 6mo loan was our proposal. Option to buy rumored to be around 40m pounds.
I think this could be a great signing. Rashford has had 20+ goal seasons for MU and the team is in shambles, but he's still impressive when I've seen him on. Leao-Rashford-Pulisic if all on form would be something to seriously behold. Not to mention, I think Rashford brings a lot of attention and fanbase to the team. He may have an exaggerated salary but I do think he drives revenue and attention as a player.

I'm happy with Fofana Reijnders and Musah. I think we have 3 accountable midfielders in them 3, the problem is Bennacer & Loftus slow down the game and tbh I don't see Bennacer being a staple in this team again. Ricci is the way to go out of all midfielders linked. I'm telling you now Casadei is not a player who brings immediate improvement. He may end up succeeding after all, but I can say with some level of certainty he isn't ready right now. Ricci is a beast and will be worth every penny. He's such an elegant player.

Also nobody rip me for this, but cmon Emerson Royal hasn't been bad lately. He makes his mistakes but for some reason I feel a sense of security with him playing over Calabria..

Emerson is a classic example of a player coming with a bad rep, and then fans clinging on everything negative he does during the game to prove their point that he really is bad. In reality, he's "an ok" player. I can't say i feel a "sense of security" with him playing, but to your point, he's not that bad. In any ideal world, he'd be our rotation RB. But we are not handicapped when he's on the field either. And lastly, he's not been our worst player by any means.
Put it this way, as things stand, I'd go looking for a CM and a CF before spending anymore money on another RB. Even a backup LB and another winger is probably higher on the list of priorities than replacing Emerson.
