Summer Mercato - 2025

2) Recognize actual gain of 15m on Bennacer (i think his book value is fully amortized at this point)
3) Rabiot's valuation of 15m can be spread out over the term of his contract (3 years, let's say?), so he'll negatively hit our books for 5m this year and offset the Bennacer gain. So all in all, Rabiot-Bennacer swap will positively impact our books for 10m this year.
4) use that 25m from Fofana on another need (CB/CF)

Of course, the above is extremely simplistic way of looking at things and #s may not be accurate. But you get the point.

Rabiot would request a high salary, probably Leao level.

Kean is not worth €60m. One good season so far...
Krstovic to Atalanta for €25-30m. Was linked to us at some point, but not lately anyway.

Does that mean Camarda will get more time? (Just checked and it seems that Camarda may be their first choice now. Wow.)

Also, on a different topic. Don't get your hope up but Milan finally may be divorcing divock!  Icon_lol2

Young Italian a regular starter .... if it turns out to be the case Di Francesco is immediately my coach of the year.

The divorcing cost would be somewhere between 1 and 2 millions. I believe both parties would prefer to avoid taking the matter to court.

The deadline (19th) for Hojlund passed. Jashari's case also extended through our deadline.

Suddently, some clubs are interested in Jimenez. Napoli is expected to offer 25m.

Versatile players like Jimenez & Saelemaekers (wingback & winger) are very important for our thin and clean squad which can't afford a stable formation.

If it happens and Camarda scores a bunch, I wonder if Milan management may fear all the incentive payments to Lecce. Grinundwech

From what I read, his contract is worth 4.6M and the proposed severance pay is 2M. I don't think this issue would go to court (unless you are playing along the 'divorce' line. Big Grin), after all, contract is to be honored and I had long give up the hope that Divock Origi would leave anytime before May 2026. So, anything would be celebrated.

About Jimenez, I am surprised that other teams are trying to loan him; how does that even work with Real Madrid owning him and we are just loaning?? I am glad that we told them that Jimenez is not to be touched, but I also fear what Real Madrid may want to do. Imagine they take him back just to sell to Napoli (similar to Morata/Garatasaray/Como/Milan situaton). Angry Dodgy
But Real Madrid doesn't own Jimenez. Milan does. I think they have a buy-back option though. We purchased him outright last summer for €5m. They have an option to buy him back for €9m this summer or €12m next summer. It's safe to say Real won't purchase him this summer. There is always the possibility that they'll show up next summer for that 12m. That's chunk change for them and if they think they can use him in whatever capacity (like Brahim), then they'll likely do it. I'm sure we can negotiate that 12m option. That'll likely cost us an extra ~10m this summer. I think if we believe in this kid and plan on using him extensively over the course of the season, then we should seriously consider the option to "buy-out Real's 12m option". Because if we use him a lot and he shows some good stuff (like Brahim), then he'll be off to Real in a year.
Jiménez’s situation is quite intriguing.
We need his versatility, especially with our squad being thin, and financially we’re in a good position. That’s why a loan doesn’t make much sense, unless the fee is around €5 million, matching what we originally paid. In that case, it could turn into a smart deal if Real Madrid buy him back for €12 million after a successful loan spell. Then we have 12m just for Futuro equipment cost.
It’s amusing to hear that Napoli may have offered €25 million for him. I initially thought Real would activate their buy-back clause at €9 million and then flip him to Napoli for the full €25 million.

But according to the article, “Merengues have the option to buy him back for €12m in 2026, having already missed the €9m slot for 2025.”
If that’s accurate, Real can only exercise the clause in early summer—likely before August. So if we sell him now, we could potentially secure the full €20 million profit ourselves.

As for Højlund, the deal structure might shift from a loan with an option to a loan with an obligation to buy. If Milan agrees to that, the player would almost certainly be on board, giving us a stronger position in negotiations with Manchester United.
So we sent an offer to Bayer Leverkusen for Victor Boniface? Fabrizio Romano claim we are in advanced talks for him. Milan remain in talks for Højlund.

Is he our only new striker or are we going for more?
