Not a lot of news today, actually very little. A few things though:
Yesterday, I don't think it was mentioned, but Pato essentially said he's a fan of English football, has friends in England at Chelsea, Liverpool and Man U. Apparently at the moment he's got a "taste" for English football given the London Olympics. He's also said he intends to see out his contract until 2014 after the club showed faith in him and then there's no telling what will happen. I know many wouldn't mind Pato being sold this summer, but I think he deserves credit. When he speaks of intentions he only says he intends to see out his contract rather than saying he hopes to stay at Milan forever and be like Maldini and Baresi. I appreciate the honesty rather than BS statements.
CDS says Sheva's pushing Yarmalenko to Milan, while Tuttosport claims we're still pushing for Balzaretti.
El Shaarawy was interviewed and hopes to play more next season after doing well this season, while he also hopes he can play with Kaka in Milan one day.
Muntari has commented on his injury, saying it was on a normal pitch and a freak accident and that while Galliani is right to be angry, it has been confirmed the club will wait for him and he will accept the punishments (i.e. lower wage and maybe a fine).
Finally, Mudingayi has confirmed Milan and Inter are both after him. Good player, but a squad player, not a starter imo.

I don't think so. He is probably the best pure right midfielder on the market. Also he can play all midfield positions (ok he can't play am) and side back positions in defense. He is very versatile and I am glad that he managed to agree on his contract terms.
Also he can easily score, and in my opinion (Stitch  ) when healthy and motivated he is better than Boateng...

Flamini was good 4-5 years ago. During his time here he showed nothing but foul play, earning numerous cards whenever he plays. He got a good contract based on his last year at Arsenal, and did nothing to show that he really earned it.
And I certainly hope that comparsion with Boateng was a joke

Actually it wasn't..just look at Boateng's last season only 11 matches and I believe 4 goals in all competitons (3 against Lecce and 1 against Arsenal), so by looking his whole career it seems he has potential of becoming injury prone player who can't put out two good seasons in a row...this isn't my firm opinion it just comes to my mind now and then
No offense, but that number about Boateng is so horribly wrong. I can remember at least two more goals in Champions League, both fantastic by the way, and in Serie A, didn't he at least score against Genoa also?

My mistake he played 19 matches in serie a scoring 5 goals, he also added one in coppa Italia and 3 more in CL..still he had less impact on the field compared to what he did in 2010/11 season
And I do believe that there is a strong possibility of him becoming injury prone player

OK then.  Boateng does worry me with his tendency to get injured at such a young age, but I don't agree with you "less impact" comment. Despite his frequent absences, I feel that he had established himself a status only slightly below Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic. That seems quite evident from the way that Allegri used him (e.g. "saving" him for the big games in the season).
Anyway, I don't think it is appropriate to compare Flamini to Boateng yet. He has made no or little contribution in his four years with Milan, and also refused to play LB when the coach asked him to. Last season, he was out for 32 weeks. Unlucky, yes, but again, no contribution. The goal against Novara was nice but meant nothing in real.
Now that he stays, I hope that he redeems himself and be useful. He does have some good quality that may benefit the team, and I am hoping that we resigned him because of Allegri not just because of Galliani. One year contract extension is not bad at all, particularly at a much reduced salary. But he still has to prove himself, something that he failed to do in the past four long seasons.
My post about Flamini was that when healthy and motivated he is better then Boateng and I stay behind my words. I remember his Arsenal days when he was fully prepared and motivated he was one of the most dominant players in the midfield in the world. Boateng never played on that high level and probably he never will. Why Flamini didn't played in Milan as he played in Arsenal is a mistery to me, but I would like to see him play for black and red as he played for the Gunners.

You are comparing Flamini five yrs ago to Boateng over the past two yrs. I saw Flamini as a really good DM or CM back in Arsenal and was great that he came to Milan. But even when he was not injured, he had pretty much sucked playing in Milan, however, he did done well at RB when Beckham was around. Boateng on the other hand is a physical beast and when healthy is a top notch CM in the world. I really can't see the logic that Boateng is not a better player nor will he be a greater player than Flamini, as when you take both of their best year; last yr at Arsenal for Flamini and 1st yr in MIlan for Boateng, I still see Boateng being a better player and contributed more for their respectable team.
Thats my opinion.

Regarding Flamini, I respect your opinion, partly because that I am hoping that you will be right, and also that oddly enough, in the past four seasons he never seemed to have a chance to prove himself. I am not saying that it is not his fault, but Ancelotti didn't seem to trust him very much, and he was very unlucky to get injured a lot of times under Allegri too.
My main problem with him was that he didn't/couldn't take advantage of the chances like others did (e.g. Nocerino); he came with high expectation and couldn't live up to it; he refused to play LB as Ancelotti tried to ask him to; he seems to have a reputation of enjoying high pay and high pay only (that is gonna change of course); he commits reckless fouls and harms the team, etc.
Now he is staying, I have no choice but to trust him and hope that he will deliver. He will have to, if he still wants to renew his contract after one year.
Also, I just realized that Flamini is already 28. It is certainly an age to achieve something or be tossed to oblivion. I hope he makes it.
