Btw wasn't the price 45 mil euros for Silva? Silva has extended his contract so his price now should be then higher than 45 mil euros?

65 mil euros seems little for both Silva and Ibrahimovic.

It's definitely too cheap, Ronaldo was bought by Real for 90 million euros, and we sell our two best players for 65?

We renewed Silva, but we couldn't manage to pay these wages over the years, so we decided to accept to sell him. We made a financial effort (for 2 weeks) but it wasn't a sustainable situation ...

I remember us turning down an offer worth € 37.5 mln, so I'm not sure were people are getting the high numbers from. Nonetheless 65 for both seems very low. Ideally while still being realistic I'd like something closer to 80. Clearly Silva is worth more than 40 to us if we rejected it before, so is Ibra worth less than 25 to us? I feel Galliani can press for a better deal and I'd be disappointed if he didn't. If he is going to toy with my emotions, drag the rossonero emblem in excrement and whore us around I'd at least like to get as much as possible for it.

Posts I see from Milan fans seem to think we have the power to set the price. If we are as poor as we are behaving the 65 figure is from PSG and we accept or not. Doesn't matter if Ibra or Silva are worth 100 million each.

We aren't that broke. Selling Thiago Silva (or Pato or Ibra) and saving on the wages of the senators we would've covered that typical 65-70 mln debt we have each year and Berlusconi has to fish in his pockets for. So with this we are going beyond that. We aren't at the brink of bankruptcy where we either accept the offer or perish. I wouldn't be complaining as much if it weren't for the fact that we now know Silva's actual value, which we rejected.

So with this we are going beyond that. We aren't at the brink of bankruptcy where we either accept the offer or perish. It's simple : Galliani and Berlusconi probably want to build a limit to our wages. To be done, we need to sell our most paid players. But if Thiago Silva leaves while earning 6M, that means Robinho has to accept to be paid less or he should leave too.

Then, our club will make some profit and we will have some budget on the mercato each season, which could become interesting when (if) Berlu gives some money sometimes ...

Terrible scenario IMO, but I try to look at the positive things !!

Even if Milan is broke and must sell Silva and Ibra to raise funds....It only means Milan cannot sustain themselves while getting quality results, like CL Semi and winning the League. That would also mean the owner must spend their own cash in order for Milan to be quality, thus if Berlu can't do that, then he should sell the club. Maybe this summer Milan can manage to sell Silva and Ibra to cut wages and balance the book...but what about next year, Boateng and Cassano, with RObinho and Pato the following year. The root of the problem is not Ibra, or Silva's wages, the problem is Berlu for not wanting to spend, and Galli for handing out stupid money with contracts like Mexes for 8mil a yr.

What you are telling is logic, Geo. Galliani tried so hard just to cut our big wages, simple example is Flamini. It seems that Galliani won't give big wage anymore for a player except he is really good quality and maximum wage could be round 4-5 mil euros.

I hope that what he have been doing now by getting free-contract players or cheap players (be realistic, none of them are world class or little chance to be world class players like Nocerino or Boateng) is only done in short period of time and we would start buying again at least players that have big chance turn to very good players (like stars in youth prestigious tournament like world cup U20), players like Jovetic (before moved to Fiorentina) for example (plus probably some cheap or bosman but quality players).

We should not be like Arsenal, if we have proper budget for transfer almost every season, we could buy experience players and make a competitive team.

The attack looks promising, but when one is constantly injured and the other is firing blanks all the time, we are going to put our faith in the hands of a pair of youngsters who collectivly scored 20- goals all season? Sure, sounds like a plan to me.

On the other end, who is going to be here to save our asses from shipping goals? We lost Thiago in the barca match last season, and in the space of a week, were kicked out of two cups and lost our lead in the title race. Need I repeat the words, "our lead"....

I don't even see us in that sort of a position to compete if we lose:
a) Our most prolific goalscorer, and
b) our most consistent defender.

Rebuilding with the amount of money that we have would take half a decade at least.

I've always supported our management as I always believed they did what was best for the club and managed the club astutely, albeit with mistakes over the years. This summer I honestly believe the management are close to ruining everything they've built over the past 26 years, never mind ruining the image and name of the club.

I'm not talking about Thiago Silva and Ibra here. This problem is bigger than them. It's a matter of disgracing what this club is and means to millions of people all around the world. I'm sick of seeing us prostitute ourselves on the market and the management pleasuring themselves everytime we see money put in front of us. I'm sick of seeing us humiliated everytime the dreaded mercato comes around and us caught with our pants down, with our only response being fatalistic defeatism.

For the first time in 25 years of supporting Milan, I can say I'm embarassed to support this club, something which Istanbul, La Coruna, Kaka, Sheva, Juve's 6-1 or Marseille's lights out never managed to achieve.
