Louis Nicollin was also suspended two seasons ago when after a game against Auxerre (in Auxerre), he said Pedretti was a "pansy", a "bitch" and "faggot" who will be hit during the whole game in Montpellier some months later ...

Three quick comments:
- Don't even think we will get all of Dzeko, Sahin, Hernanes and Ogbonna, that won't happen in million years. The most realistic campaign is to pay for Dzeko and Ogbonna (up to 35 M), and to get Sahin or some other midfielder on loan or on free transfer. That's probably the most Galliani is willing to spend. - Jovetic is not a midfielder; he never played AM and never will. - Cassano will probably leave, because if he shows the same attitude as at Euro (never even thinks to battle for any ball), Allegri will offload him just like Ronaldinho two years ago.

Yeah this probably means that none of the money from the sales of Ibra and Thiago Silva will be spent on new acquisitions, but will instead cover the club's debt (that Berlusconi said he would take care of). I rated Rannochia quite highly when he was in Bari, and his talent can't have disappeared just like that in Inter ... PS : If we were to end this summer with 6 new WC players, all on loan with an option to buy, who would care that the money wasn't re-invested ? Personnally, I wouldn't.

We're screwed if that's the case. Another link is Bruno Uvini. I haven't seen a lot of him, but this is another player who has very mixed reactions and is far from convincing to being considered a future great defender. I read that on goal.com, but haven't seen it elsewhere, so I must admit I'm sceptical of this rumour for now. If true, then that's a ridiculous fee for Sahin, who has essentially flopped in Madrid this season. Case and point is at Lecce he was limited to mostly a sub or squad player role, yet in the side was only really bettered by Giuseppe Vives (31 yrs old). They used Blasi (31 yrs old) and Giacommazzi (34 yrs old) in DM too, but Strasser at 21/22 years old surely should have had chances given his potential (unlike the others) and the fact he was playing pretty much on par with these guys. At Milan, it's difficult to see him get any real game time given the competition in the squad. His best bet right now is hoping for opportunities in the Coppa. Right now, our biggest hope is De Sciglio, but again serious questions must be raised as to whether he'll be given the space to play, as we have too many numbers at LB and guys like Bonera tend to be trusted as backup normally at RB. As for reducing the age of our squad, this has been forced on us given the number of older players that have left in recent times. That said, despite buying many younger players, we've also been buying many players in their late 20's (Ibra, Mexes, Cassano, Binho and Yepes being one in his 30s). Again, it's difficult to know if our project right now is to focus on younger players, especially given Galliani's recent comment of age being nothing but a number. I don't want to make it seem all like doom and gloom about our youth integration, as I'm well aware this sort of thing takes years before we realistically start to see results. However, as we've seen with guys like Matri, Astori and Boriello (all of who could have been strong squad players) over the past 5-7 years, we have a tendency to give up or lack trust or patience in useful youth talents and end up paying for it later. It seems Valoti is highly rated by Allegri who blocked his transfer on loan because in his opinion, this young player will be one of the ones being included in first team during the season ...
I like how Allegri tried to use some of our youngsters here and there sometimes since he has arrived in Milan ...

About Valoti, if I'm correct he was bought in 2011? He's not really been a part of our youth set up and that's sort of why I didn't count him. That said, I do hope he gets given space to grow and be part of the senior side. As for pushing youth development, I think Allegri's done really well. He's successfully got Merkel, Strasser and De Sciglio all playing a part in the senior set up, as well as arguably El Shaarawy and Valoti if you want to count them. He's also worked well to get a better partnership with the Primavera, working with youth talents in training and often exchanging players in the two groups (El Shaarawy spent time in Primavera last season and guys like De Sciglio and Cristante given chances at senior level). The problem comes with how management use these players in the market. When they're used as bargaining chips or aren't trusted to play a role in our squad where they need opportunities to grow. In this respect, football's changed and teams want instant success, particularly in Italy. This is also the biggest failure (footballing wise) that Milan have had under Berlusconi's leadership, as under him we disregarded youth development completely.

Allegri should use these players more, he has only given them chances here an there, and mostly becouse of injuries. Italian coaches always play experienced players, its in their blood. They even prefer to play older players out of position instead of using a youngster. I'm sure none of these guys will get a REAL chance this season. Only El Shaarawy but thats becouse he costed us a lot of money so has to be used.
