I actually are hoping for Wenger and Arsenal to sell Cesc cheaply to us, just for pissing barca off. It would be fun. And with seemingly new link formed between us and barca (read Allegri commented elsewhere about his view against Mourinho and praising barca), we could sell him cheaply too to barca in next few years, it's easier for them than to negotiate with Arsenal, and Cesc will come to the right time when Xavi retires. Or if Thiago develops into a worldclass midfielder, maybe they'll tell us we can keep Cesc as long as we want  .

I also can't believe that you guys can call bale over rated.. I understand many english players are, in my opinion like jack wilshere or imo even rooney, he's good but not as good as they make him out to be.. But bale? He's shown his class at a young age and especially in the CL that's a huge bonus, and even bigger bonus is his best performance came against our rivals, imagine having bale doing that in a derby?
Edu from Schalke scored 2 goals against Inter, tear their defenses open all along the match, yet I (and you, for sure?) won't want him in our team. Wayne Rooney show more potential than him in same age and look how much Man Utd paid for him? Definitely not the crazy price tag put upon Bale now.
And how could he fit into our system? Definitely he's not the LCM we need. Bale sure runs speeding crazily like Jehu, but I have big doubts about his creativity, passing, something that Pirlo or Seedorf could offer at last part of the season... With Boateng in CAM and two of MvB/Gattuso/Flamini/Ambro, you'd expect the one player (LCM) to be main source of flair in our midfield, and I don't believe in Bale at all for that task. It will waste his big potential, he could (or maybe not) be world-class left-winger in Man Utd or Chelsea, but to play in foreign countries, high pressure in its top level club, and out of position too? As talented as he may be, it's too much to be asked from him.
I believe your right in what your saying however i just feel as if we shouldn't pass up on a potential talent like bale although he doesn't fit our system.. at the moment other then ronaldo and messi my two main guys would be bale and fabregas, fabregas of course ahead of bale but that may be hard

It's totally different like russo-neri suggested. Ibra's case was not pure loan, it's a loan with a buy while with Boateng was co-ownership as far as I know. Loaning Fabregas and giving Barcelona when they need Fabregas bring nothing to us. We have to have Fabregas, not just a place for loaned player. If we get (buy) Fabregas and he wants to Barca later then we should get much money (price increase).

Galliani just got all annoyed with some reporters and said that even though Witsel might be Mr X doesn't mean he is the gift, and so they need to stop guessing and wait and see.

Like some of you, I am really hoping for Fabregas.
It looks like the Witsel deal is pretty much set to go through.
Probably Galliani will say our summer mercato is over. I highly doubt it though, since Raiola has been working on something for a while now. I am pretty sure it wasn't Witsel. Berlusconi has a gift for Allegri and Raiola is working on that. No way Berlusconi's gift is Axel Witsel, who is worth less than 15 mln.
