Rumour of Allegri to Chelsea

Allegri isn't a bad coach; Chelsea do have the tradition of hiring coach (and players) out of Italy.

Not surprising, but still it was very unkind (and I would even say it was quite unprofessional) to Pellegrini. He doesn't deserve this kind of crap.

That's the way football is going. Pep did it to Bayern too...I forget the name of the manager there at the time.
He denies his announcement will affect the Man City team. he's so arrogant and self centred.

I do believe it will have an effect on city...but not how Pep will think it's about him...I think the city players will try eespecially hard for Pellegrini now. 

I'd love to see Pellegrini at United next year and beating city.

Leicester beat City comfortably and sit 5 points clear at the top. I normally balk at the Premiership's claim of being the most exciting league, but this year, with this incredible run, I have to admit it's kept me excited.

It really is the most exciting. Not necessarily the best quality, but everything around it is done well, for the spectators, for the fans. When something is done right, you have to tip your hat to it.

Back to the competition...I really hope that Leicester wins it. You can't help but root for the small guys.
Next week against Arsenal will be a huge game. If they don't lose against Arsenal, they have a big chance. Either way, they are almost definitely going to be in the CL next year.

The funny thing....they are playing "italian" style football. Something that was apparently "outdated".

tbh, it claims the best league which is far from true, but also excitement wise I think it varies (as with all leagues). If you're talking about how competitive and balanced it is, quality and style of football, then I think it's difficult to claim to be the most exciting league (it's very subjective). However, as a product for entertainment and with all the bells and whistles that come around the football, then I agree, it's the best.

Leicester is pretty much my local side, so I do have a natural inclination to hope they succeed. That and I really like Ranieri and feel he's often under appreciated, so it would be a nice achievement for him.

Now that's an understatement

this is only Leicester's second season in EPL and look at them destroying big money teams.
Compared to Italian teams who come to Serie A and are instantly in the relegation battle. barring Napoli who transformed instantly into a title/European contenders.. but they were once a great team nonetheless.

Ranieri is an amazing tactician, and Italian coaches tend to do well in Italy.

Maybe he will go back to Chelsea, instead of Allegri (who can come to Milan ).

lol, Basel, I guess it is an understatement.

Also, bear in mind Leicester have generally been very up and down in the Premiership over the years and last season did battle relegation. This season is just an incredible anomaly. I don't think Serie A's too different personally. Think about the rise of Empoli and Sassuolo in recent years.
