http://www.rossoneriblog.com/2011/06/24/...etto-star/

Galliani has asked Coach Massimiliano Allegri to promise him that he’ll do it.

“You have to promise me something,” Galliani said looking at Max. “You have to promise that Milan will make it to 20 league titles before Inter do! And this is a target that the club have to hit with Allegri at helm.”

Allegri spoke about this commitment, saying: I’d very much like to be the coach that gets the second star on the Milan jersey but at the moment we should only be thinking of getting off to a good start.”

WOW, I love Galliani. I want the second star, too. More than CL.

If we keep the team and change the left players with suitable substitutes, it shouldn't be a very difficult jog for Allegri. As long as our forward like this and there is no dropped quality in midfield, we would always be the contender for Serie A.

The only reason why we weren't in contention for the CL last season was because our midfield was decimated by injuries at the halfway mark, and the winter training camp didn't help either (we lost Boateng and Merkel or someone else).
Had our players been available during the first two months of 2011, we probably would have won the Scudetto with like a month to spare and CL wouldn't have been so difficult.

That said, the most important thing is to oversee our injuries this coming season. We had a blessed year with Nesta and Thiago relatively injury-free and Yepes picking up the pieces when necessary, this coming term, I hope for more of the same, but with less injuries in Mid and Forward lines.
We got the young 'un's. We take out big gunz  Devilcool

HaHa,I'm praying for barca to maintian their hunger and level to be tested for who they really are.when future become history, let time and truth speak.

The 2nd star will look very nice on the jersey .. our mercato is so confusing as of recent as we've all but completely ruled out fabregas and hamsik.. The only two players not ruled out that we've been linked with is schweinsteiger and bale and both of them fit our "mr.x" description..

We don't need to buy players to beat Barca, we need to buy players to have a strong team to challenge on all fronts....once we get to Barca, it will be the whole team & system that will beat them, not the guy(s) we will sign this summer.

Lucas does look incredibly good indeed and I am sure he will fit in one team with Ganso as they are totally different.

However, I am not a big follower of the Brazilian league but from what i have seen is that Ganso's main attribute is his passing and technique whereas Lucas is his dribbling and speed and, although both would be great, our priority must be the great passer/playmaker rather than the dribbler.

However, if we were to sign Fabregas, then Lucas would probably be the better complement.

All systems(or programs) failed against barca, they simply are the best,a level above.

Playmaker football won't match barca,b/c they are the final boss of playmaker football, they give skill football the new definition, they just rip any rythem off your playmaking system b/c they know all your next move.to play their football aginst them is suicidal.

Physicality, dicipine, intensity, counter precision might be the only option. the trademark of jM,sacchi, capello, hopefully allegri.

Again, you are missing the point....reread my post: i'm not asking for a playmaker because it is the way to beat Barca but because we need one in our squad.

If we get to the point when we have to play them, Allegri will decide what system will work, maybe bench the playmaker, maybe play with 8 defenders, maybe play with 5 forwards...it's his call...right now, i don't care.

We all know Barca is playing the best football at the moment, that is not an argument, but if Inter can beat them, I'm sure as hell we can with the right team and approach.

and thanks Siregar for the quote, after you said Brasileiro mentioned him before, i remembered that he did yes....but again, and if true, 8Mio for a young Brazilian CB, then we must really think he is special...not sure how that will work with all the EU spot issue...if he has a European passport or if he will join the primavera for the 1st season...
Can we please not give a sh*t about Barca and not talk about them here? There is the La Liga thread. I'm getting tired of them and everything evolving around them. Why do we have to buy players to beat them? We have to buy players who fit the system, who cares about Barca. Please, this is a Milan forum. Smile

I thought some of you would be mad at me when I say I want Scudetto (2 stars) more than CL Big Grin. Well, this task is not too hard, but Milan should concentrate on the "one bird in the hand".

As far as I know he can't play for Primavera due to age restriction. If we get him, he either play as our backup or will be loaned out to get some experiences. If opt he stays as sub player since Soktratis will be gone and Janku too (which should Bonera moved to left back's sub).

I am surprised Milan is not being link with Inler and Zapata from Udinese.
As these two players can add a lot to the current Milan.
Imagine Mr. X is Sandchez. That would be awesome.
Zapata might be a long term replacement for nesta, hope his pricetag won't hyped too much.

nah, we need more a playmaker and a complete central midfielder, Sanchez would be another seconda punta ... We already got Robinho, Cassano and El Shaarawy for that.

Ganso and Hernanes is what we need :p
