Berlusconi seems to be willing to invest however he does not want to invest for Milan at a time like this because the Italians will question what is he doing.... so I think Milan have found a club like Genoa for them to buy their transfers (including Rafinha, Veloso probably) and then we could get them in the future. You could see that as there does not seem to be any cash involved for the Sokratis deal, only gave them 3 players on co-ownership. It does seem like there is some sort of alliance and things going under the table, especially if we get KPB and Bocchetti.

Both teams win, Milan get the signings they wanted (even they they have to wait for it) without having to spend anything officially for the world to see, and Genoa gets a great squad temporarily.

Well, you can read here and there that we paid 4.5M for Sokratis (so the money we received from Juventus for Storari) + the co-ownerships.

My point of view is that Genoa made some kind of effort to build a good squad this year thanks to the sales of their young players (Ranocchia, Bonucci, Sokratis). They almost look like a big team when their president says Boateng will be a Genoa player and that he will send him on loan to some big club.
It seems they don't want to co-own him, they just want to send him on loan (they already have many midfielders, so buying Boateng is not really needed for them), probably to have a better image, why ? They send a player on loan to Milan, the great Milan, they will buy a player that Milan wanted to buy, and they give him for one year, which of the clubs is the smallest in this move ?

The deal about Bocchetti ? They must accept, in Genoa, as there is some kind of new friendship between both clubs, so if Milan asks them a player on loan (with an option to buy), as long as we give them another player (we want to give Jankulovski, they want Abate), they must accept. That looks like a good deal for Milan on this one, but at the end, we will buy Bocchetti, they will send back the player and they will be able to buy another good player.

Genoa is the winner of all these moves, as they got young players from both Inter and Milan in 2 years, with some of them who should explode and as a consequence, they will be able to sell them for big money (Destro, why not Zigoni).

I really don't think Berlusconi is behind all these moves in Genoa (Veloso, Rafinha, etc).
