Cassano should have been bought instead of Gila. Cassano will be more than Totti when he gets older..

Unless Cassano drastically changes his behavior and mentality, I believe his coming to Milan would create unrest, bad discipline, and will destroy the chemistry within the other players. Undoubtedly Cassano is a very, very talanted player, in fact one of the biggest young talants around. However, with his lack of discipline and respect for both coach and teammates, Cassano would, as Moratti said, "cause more problems than he would actually solve."
One other thing though, Cassano's contract with Roma expires in 1 year and negotiation for an extension have been basically frozen. No matter what his new team will be, my guess is he would be leaving Roma from next year for everyone would prefer waiting for just one more year and pay nothing as opposed to signing him now for 15 mil euros or so.

yeah i said we should look to sign him on a pre contract, meaning for free, besides, if cassano doesnt sign the contract doesnt it mean hell be a free agent 100%??? because roma arent allowed to buy or sell.. and we would also have a similar situaiton to gilas because gila was free and parma needed money (like cassano and roma) but they cannot ask for high prices because its not in their interest.

as for his attitude, u cannot argue there, hes the badboy of this sport...but i think alot has to do with the environment around him, and we have one of the most harmonious ones in the world, i think personally hes going through a bad time, maybe he needs to change his team, i think we might end up handling him well.

by the way i cannot believe u quoted moratti, how often do u see that?

I think we got much the better deal with Gilardino. I would not want Cassano to come here.

Roma ‘fail’ in Cassano talks
Thursday 28 July, 2005
Antonio Cassano’s future at Roma is still in doubt after contract talks are believed to have stalled yet again.

The Italian starlet has just one-year left on his current contract and the club are keen to tie him down to a new deal, rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer.

Giallorossi chief Rosella Sensi had a two hour meeting with the player and his agent but no agreement was struck.

Cassano, a £20m signing from Bari in 2001, wants a five-year deal worth almost £18m in total wages.

Roma, who had initially hinted that they were ready to meet those demands in February, are now only said to be willing to offer him £11m over the same duration.

The two parties are set to meet again over the next few days but an agreement is unlikely to be reached given the economical difference.

Roma would ideally like to sell Cassano but their transfer embargo is currently blocking that alternative.

The Stadio Olimpico club can’t register any new players right now which means that Juve’s proposed player plus cash deal for the 23-year-old can’t take place.

Real Madrid, Milan and Inter are also likely to join the Turin giants in his chase should Cassano be available on a free transfer next June.

hmm our transfer directors are excellent, if we were thinking of Cassano either for this year or for next year, we would have already moved for him.. Milan isn´t a team that takes a long time to admit their interest in players. I think if we are thinking of him, a pre-contract would have been rumoured some where as many said. But unfortunately, I doubt we will be try to get him although I really think we should. Some what of a pre-contract (or 1st option has others may say) has been agreed for Kompany (which could be just rumours). Im hoping to see any rumours linking Cassano to us in the near future. Im guessing next year Pippo will be removed from Milan if he continues having injuries this season.

I think we do need a more solid replacement for Pippo.
