I actually do regret all the nasty things that I have said about Dida, I dont know why but im feeling bad.

Just one thing, when you look at Dida saving the Penalties against Liverpool and Juventus theres a big difference. Its like hes more confident when facing Juventus, before the players even took the kick he came out jumped off his line and saved them easy, now when you look at him against Liverpool he didnt come off his line.

Now if we end up in Penalties again I hope he remembers this and saves them to make them Scousers cry.

Yeah, but now the idiot Dudek was coming off his line. Look how that turned out. Still irritates me today.

Forget Kaka, or Inzaghi, or even Maldini. If there is one AC Milan player who will be driven to excel against Manchester United on Wednesday it will be the team’s under-fire goalkeeper Dida.
The Italian press laid into the Brazilian international after the first leg at Old Trafford, accusing him of flapping Cristiano Ronaldo’s header into his own net for the opening goal and then leaving his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to score United’s stoppage-time winner.
The only non-Italian ever to win the prize for Serie A goalie of the year, Dida also has the misfortune to play in a position that Italians have always made their own, so when the going gets tough there is no end of critics queuing up to take pot-shots at him (or even sell him on the internet).
His demeanour – quiet, serious, unsmiling, the very antithesis of the happy-go-lucky Brazilian footballer – has also rarely won him friends in the media.
Of course, he has given the critics plenty of ammunition. He famously dropped the ball into his own net in 1-0 Champions League defeat to Leeds United back in September 2000 – just six days after he’d made his debut for Milan.
But there have also been inspired performances, most notably when he saved three times in the penalty shoot-out that gave Milan victory over Juventus in the Champions League final in 2003.

wow, just saw the poll results......nearly 58 percent of people want Dida replaced.

He surely isn't THAT bad.

He looks a good shot-stopper. Tho he does react a little bit late at times.

The poll is over six months old. A lot has happened since then.

I almost welled up when I saw that picture.

Surprised he never dropped it lol, I dont think we need a new keeper now.

Twice he has come to the rescue in CL finals.

That's what I'm the most proud of.

He had his moments of suckitude this season, but simultaneously and undisputedly proved his worth in the clutch (tonight, part 2 of ManU and Bayern) when it mattered the most.

Thank God! finally we have seen the last of d!da.
Yet again he spoiled the party of Maldini and Nesta by not keeping a clean sheet. Buffon, Cech, Akinfeev, Casillas etc would have saved the goal of Kyut. Anyway its fantastic to see him leave ACM now

Now next season ACM will some defense & keeper

I agree, and he's easily Milan's greatest goalie ever in the Berlusconi era.

No player deserved last night more after Istanbul and the two years of hell that came with it. That and being linked to trades with every keeper in existence, especially some guy named Buffon. He would've easily been the MotM had Pippo not played like, well, Pippo.

However, I think Milancelotti yesterday said it best: "Twice he has come to the rescue in CL finals." That's why his contract was renewed.

I know I tend to wrongfully accuse you of possessing the slightest bit of logic mzk57 but Dida was a candidate for MOTM...Other 'keepers tend to get raped by Gerrard's shots. Did you even watch the game

Don't get mad at mzk; that's really his way of saying Dida had a great game. Think the great and beautiful Kalac would have pulled off any of those saves?
