Yeah but Adebayor is no bargain either... Arsenal want like 30 million pounds for him I think...

Or maybe... we should look at that player Jo from CSKA...

They were sold in a package. Barcelona payed €20 million for both of them.
Newspapers speculated with a number of €14 million for Zambrotta and €6 million for Thuram, but there is another version that says all the €20 million were for Zambrotta while Thuram was only the condition for Bracelona to get Zambrotta.
Juve were trying desperately to get rid of Thuram and his wages. Milan wanted Zambrotta but they didn't want Thuram. At the end Barcelona accepted to take both of them for the price of one and they payed Juve €20 million.

Emmanuel Adebayor’s Rossoneri move is back on after his agent confessed, “it’s difficult to turn down Milan.”

General manager Adriano Galliani has publicly named the Arsenal striker as the primary transfer target.

Although he said he was happy at the Emirates, agent Stephane Courbis painted a different picture.

“It is difficult to say if Emmanuel will play for Milan,” he told Italian station Radio Radio TV.

“I know the club has been in contact with Arsenal and now it all depends on the intentions of the English side.

“Milan are a great club, among the best in the world, and when a team like that wants to buy you, you have to think about it very carefully.

“There has to be an agreement between the two clubs. Adebayor is happy at Arsenal, but when a player is tracked by Milan, it is difficult to turn them down.”

The comments are pennies from Heaven for Galliani, who is finding it very difficult to tempt a world class striker to San Siro after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger still has no intention of parting with the Togo international for less than Ł30m, but Adebayor’s manager is putting a cat among the ***eons.

After all, Milan have already tempted Mathieu Flamini across to Serie A in an out-of-contract swoop.

----------------------------------

Positive development in our search for new world class striker. I'd go for Adebayor over Eto'o and Drogba because he is much younger. Also, of the three shortlisted strikers, Adebayor seems to create the least amount of trouble for his team.

We will end up spending 30 million pounds which would be a massive hit to the clubs finances. Still, the juice is very much worth the squeeze.

Maybe Galliani should ask Moggi how Moggi could take Vieira for cheap price.

I sure hope the Adebayor move materializes. The guy is just 24 and scored 30 goals last year. He was a handful for Nesta, Kala, Maldini when we played them in CL. I think he would be the perfect striker for us: big, powerful, tall, and also very agile and fast.

About his finishing abilities---hey he's not the finished article yet, he will improve and at 27-28 will reach the peak of his career. I wouldnt mind if we shelled out big money for him this summer----I would prefer him over Etoo.

If you watch how he played last season and this season, you will notice that he is improving so much. This season is only his second season to play regularly. He is still in the making.

Okay maybe I'm convinced... but we need results... we can't have any more strikers in the making. While Pato is that way... we took a calculated risk with him. After the whole business with Gilardino you can understand my apprehension..

I prefer Adebayor over Etoo primarly because of his age. Etoo is more proven but older too he is like 28 or something.

I also like to see Huntelar play for us, guy scores 30 + goals every season, he should not cost more then 20 mil.

Adebayor is a lot more developed than Pato. He is capable of being our first striker. He was the main striker for Arsenal. He is just starting to come into his prime. He would be perfect for us.

In case of Kaka, people seem to notice his creativity, speed, accuracy and everything a top Brazilian footballer should be known for. However, the reason why he so successful in Italy is because he is physically so strong. Adebayor is also very strong. His display against us in CL showed everybody that he is capable of shoving powerful players like Nesta and Kaladze aside easily. So, I just don't see any reason why we shouldn't long for him.

Surely, he would cost us 10 million pounds more than Drogba or Eto'o but at the same time is still young and can give us 8 - 10 years of service.

Huntelaar won't do any better than Gilardino because his ball control isn't that good.

Eto'o is 27... the reason I prefer him is because he's like the middle between Adebayor and Drogba... Drogba is too old now... and Adebayor isn't developed enough for immediate results.

But then again neither will come cheap, but we should look to spend big bucks...

What about Andrei Arshavin? He's an attacking mid/second strker like Ronaldinho, and he could actually supplement the attacking teeth of Milan... he's very fast and has superb control...

That mistake had more to do with miscommunications than Zambro being beated one on one. IF Nesta or Canna was playing in the middle, they will scream at Zambro about passing it back to them instead of Buffon.

After watching last nite, I must say that whatever Seedorf said about leaving the Dutch team is questionable as I can't imagine Seedorf having a chance to play not to mention start for this Dutch team.

You are absolutly right. Ade is a ready player but he is still improving. I said in my previous post that he is in the making, which doenst mean that he is not a ready player like Pato.

What I doubt is his price that would be 10 mil pounds higher than Drogba or Eto'o. Even to level Drogba's price, I still doubt it. Eto'o is much higher than Adebayor. First because Eto'o is a recognized WC striker and second because he is Barca player, which his club always make hard negotiation with us.

My prediciton price : Ade wont be higher than 25 mil pounds, should be around 15 till around 20 mil pounds, Drogba around 20 mil pounds, Eto'o at least around 25 mil pounds. I am talking about price would be agreed, not price that is asked by the players' clubs
