Rick, with all due respect but letting Kaka go isn't exactly the first step to make things better.

you are obviously forgetting the supercup and the world club cup lol, it isn't losing just kaka which will make milan unsuccessful it is completely changing the ethic of team. there two options buy 3 or 4 youngsters and keep pirlo seedorf and ronaldinho or sell seedorf pirlo and ronaldinho and buy 7 youngsters. Looking at the options it hard for to see Milan accomplishing any thing soon, it is just the lack of mid twenty superstars which lead me to this conclusion. You look at players like hernanes and Dzeko and they are fantastic but they are not the finished article that why they are relatively cheap. the two scenarios are mind altering Milan are either stuck with a old first team or a young first team. Personally I think Milan should have kept kaka and built a young team around him but it is pretty obvious that milan would have struggled to find the funds for this. It was a long term solution to Milan problems if it was a short term fix milan would be bidding for Ribery and Fabregas also pursuing Benzema and Tevez. do be honest I think management expect next season to be unsuccessful.

Filipéz 182 is an unknown quantity at this point
the players mentioned could be instand hits! kaka was 21 when he came here and he was brilliant in his first season. Hernanes is 24, why cant he do the same thing? Dzeko is 23, look at shevchenko in his first season, he was also 23 or something like that and he became capacannoniere in his first season when he was 23
Its not like were arsenal and playing 18yo kids!!
Well we did it once, Pato, and he saved our season in his first halfyear he played for us.
it COULD work it. but if its not, the team would still have loads of potential becouse these young players will only get better. + theyve got some really experienced players around them.

Look at our star players! (before kaka left )
Kaka - came for 8m, wasnt a proven star!
Pato - came as a youngster, only play 1 season the first team of internacional!
Pirlo - came as a talented youngster who was on the bench at inter
Gattuso - came from salernitana I think, what did he prove before joining us.
Nesta - star player
Flamini - only 1 good season at arsenal, before a bench player.

This is the way you build a team IMO, not by buying proven stars, ok sometimes you need to, look at nesta, that was a massive transfer and our defence went a level up!

we should go on like this!
Thiago Silva - 8m!!!!! this could be a steal guys
Cissokho - 13m Sounds very promising!

this is some good scouting, it is not nessaceraly to buy proven stars.
I don't have a problem with this. In fact, I would love it. But the current management seems intent on signing old freebie players.

Now that Kaka, Gorky, and Maldini are gone, are they going to sign some young talents? Too early to tell but I now have doubts about them wanting to spend any of the newly earned transfer money.

I am happy with Dzeko, Hernanes, Miranda, and Cissokho - but in all honesty, I doubt any of them are coming. Neither are good Italians like Santacroce, Cigarini, D'Agostino, etc...

Milan overpaid for underperformers like Dida, Kaladze, Bonera, Oddo, Janku, etc...

Well our first signing is here: Cissokho. We closed the deal for 15 million euros.

He will undergo a medical on Monday.

Can this really be true? Keep in mind that there is no use to sign such players unless the coach is willing to use them properly and put faith in them. Mattioni is one case of this.
Anyway, i would prefer Milan to find relatively unknown talents for a cheap price, then getting big star names. If they flop, atleast we didn't spend too much cash. If they succeed however, it is a serious win for Milan!

I seriously doubt that after spending 15 million Milan don't intend to play Cissokho.

I hope this works out. Talking to Porto fans, it seems he is a very good player.

According to reports, this is one of the guys Leonardo wanted very badly. I'm glad to see that Milan isn't wasting time turning the Kaka cash into good young talent.

Parma’s Leonardi Urges Paloschi Not To Return To Milan
The Ducali general director has advised his young forward to remain with Parma as they return to the top flight…
13 Jun 2009 15:49:22

As Parma look to build a competitive squad for the forthcoming Serie A campaign, club director Pietro Leonardi explained the Gialloblu summer objective when he spoke to Radio Radio on Saturday.

With Milan reported to pondering a recall for Alberto Paloschi, following his successful loan spell in Serie B, Leonardi was clear that Parma will do all they can to hold on to the youngster for another season.

“When two sides want a player, it is only natural that complications arise," admitted Leonardi.

"However, I still feel that with a bit of time and common sense, it will be clear that another season with Parma would serve of most benefit for the development of the player.”

Leonardi, however, also admitted that it would be tough to keep hold of the young star and said that Parma could have to come to terms with life without Paloschi.

“If things don’t go our way then we will have to find an alternative,” concluded the patron.

Sao Paulo Laugh Off Milan Offer For Miranda And Hernanes
Sao Paulo sporting director Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes believes €25 million is not nearly enough for Milan to buy both defender Miranda and midfielder Hernanes.
13 Jun 2009 18:50:44

Milan are known to be keen on Brazilian players, and lately they had singled out two Sao Paulo stars, defender Miranda and creative midfielder Hernanes, as candidates to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

Hernanes in particular has already been dubbed the new Andrea Pirlo, while Miranda has been a transfer target for a while now.

The club's sporting director Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes talked to Globoesporte.com about an alleged offer made by the Rossoneri for the two players.

"€25 million for Hernanes and Miranda? They want to pay as if they were buying a tray of bananas," he jokingly responded. "This is not an official offer, it comes from rumours generated by the Italian media."

Lopes believes Milan don't have enough money to buy both the players.

"Milan have not made up for their financial losses of last season even after Kaka's sale," he continued. "For Miranda and Hernanes it's more likely we will get an offer from a Spanish club."

It's only his way to raise the price. Let no one bid for his players or convince the player to move, and someday he will shut up, begging us to take his unsettled players with low price.

well, bad news maybe? if we want to get him this is the time, because I'm sure he'd prefer Milan (his favourite club).

Here is something interesting about a young Series B star whom we have had contact with for some time now....

Valencia, Milan & Fiorentina Interested In Parma Star Macdonald Mariga
The Kenyan has revealed that three European sides are tracking him at the moment and that he would be willing to leave the Ducali if he got an interesting offer.
14 Jun 2009 02:40:31

Macdonald Mariga, who was pivotal in Parma’s promotion to Serie A next season, told a Kenyan newspaper, The Standard, that Valencia officials have been inquiring about his availability over the past month.

The 22-year-old also revealed that Italian giants AC Milan and Fiorentina have also been in touch with his agent in regards to a possible transfer.

“AC Milan, Fiorentina and Valencia have all showed interest in me and my agent is handling the issue. Though at the moment I’m comfortable at Parma, but if I get a better deal, I would weigh my options,” Mariga said.

Last month, there were rumours in the Kenyan media that Arsenal were also following the midfielder, but it seems the Premier League club have not made any move.

Milanese interest for the former Kenya Pipeline and Tusker FC player may be genuine, given Kaka's recent departure for Real Madrid. Andrea Pirlo has also been touted for a summer move, which would create a void in the midfield that will need filling.

Mariga was instrumental in the Kenyan national team's spirited performance against Nigeria on Sunday in their 2010 WC/ACN qualifier.

James Momanyi, Goal.com

Count Valencia out of the race unless they sell the likes of Villa and Silva, but Fiorentina are major competitors for sure. He won't be so desperate to leave because Parma will be in Series A next year, thanks to our own superstar Paloaschi!

I bet that this will be a Lloris once more: he will choose the lesser team because they promised him a first-team chance while we... err... sorry but I didn't see Mariga in a level such as Rino, Pirlo, Flamini, or even Hernanes.
