It has nothing to do with slaves and neither is it connected in any way to slave treatment. He (Cissokho) is offered a job that demands physical activity. He needs to be able to do that job for the entire length of the contract that is offered. If he can't do that because of physical problems then the job is no longer offered......it's as simple as that.

There are jobs out there that require physical exams. A lot of factories do that and places that require physical activity to execute a certain task. It's far away from slave treatment........I don't know why people are complicating things.

Makes complete sense. I think we ought to give our administrators a little more credit and respect. It's not a matter of chance that they have developed Milan into the most title-winning club in the world, ie they know what they're doing!

Can you tell me if his dental problems can be fixed, and not leading to any serious injuries to Cissokho. Everyone's talking about his dental problems causing muscular injuries etc., but no one says if that problem can be quickly resolved and he can play without problems.

And how low and cheap Galliani has become i just can't believe it, wtf does 3 milion euros less matters to him, how can Cissokho not be bought if his price is 15 million but for 12 million suddenly he's healthy to play. If we can't wrap up this player when everything was agreed, imagine what will be happening all summer. I think that this is just a trick by Galliani to lower the price, and when he'll see that Porto directors are not that stupid he'll agree to the deal.

Oh God

I am really really worried as lifelong Milan fan I can't take only Dzeko easy its absolute crap If we only get one player, why let Gourcuff go let Kaka go **** on Maldini kick Carlo on the way out.
And only buy one promising but unproven player consitantly, the team will not be competitive will fail in the champions league wont even make the champions league next year and with the high wages and disalusioned fans lose more money fall further into debt , if we only had of bought 1 promising young player a year from 2005 for 10 -15 mil we wouldnt be in this position.
I honestly do not know one tv station one website one friend relative who do not see AC Milan as a joke and a graveyard and it really pains me to see this once great club fade into mediocrity.

Guys, has it ever occured to anyone that he never said that we wouldn't sign players before Dzeko comes over?

I mean, for all we know, we could be aiming to sign Dzeko on the 31st of July, and by that he means we'll be getting 4 or 5 other players before that?

It could all be a ploy to set a deadline with other teams so that we get the players we want within a certain period of time, and in the process force some smaller clubs we've been negotiating with to take a cut in transfer prices.

I say give the management some time, and don't take everything posted by every news site at face value. Pirlo just denied pining for a transfer, and yet for the past two days half the active posters on this thread were after his throat.

I'm not annoyed at Galliani's comments, he speaks BS pretty much everytime he talks. What's pissed me off so much is the way the club are conducting themselves these days. Galliani shouldn't be spewing rubbish about who we're after or not. His conduct during the Cissokho affair left a sour taste in my mouth. He's not at fault for Cissokho's condition (though I'd also like to know if it's curable), but then he goes making unreasonable demands which if I was in Porto's shoes, I'd tell him to **** off. If Cissokho had major risks, then the deal should be off and the guy should go see a doctor.

Our attitude and actions as a club over the past few years have been deplorable and it's time it gets sorted out.

Yes, that's what I would like to know also, no one knows what his problem is, but everyone is sure he'll have muscular problems in the future, if it can be cured i don't see what's the problem. The way Galliani deals with this is like we're Reggina and not the most successful club in the world like he knows to repeat over and over again. It's really low, he's making a problem about 3 million euros which suddenly makes Cissokho the healthiest person in the world.

AC Milan Vice-President Galliani Optimistic About Dzeko Transfer
The Rossoneri official is confident his side can be competitive with just a few more signings this summer...

Milan vice-president, Adriano Galliani discussed the goals of the club in the transfer market, specifically commenting on Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko and current Rossoneri midfielder Massimo Ambrosini.

"There's nothing more to say. He is a player that interests us very much. I am talking with Wolfsburg and I think there is a possibility," he explained to Sky Sport 24.

"We hope to conclude that transfer, but if not we will find another goal-scorer. After that, Milan will conclude their transfer campaign by buying a central defender. Overall, if we succeed, we will have bought a new striker and central defender, because our new coach [Leonardo] wants to play with a 4-3-3 formation.

"Then we would have Pato, Dzeko, [Filippo] Inzaghi, [Marco] Borriello and Ronaldinho. In my opinion we would be well covered up front."

He then turned his attention to the situation of Ambrosini, who is looking for a new contract. However, Fiorentina are ready to take advantage of any stalled negotiations.

"We are talking and calmly trying to find a solution that will balance our interests in terms of football and the club [financially]," he concluded.

wether it is bs or not im growing tired of Galliani constant communication with the media why cant he conduct business in a less conspicuous manner

The point is to withdraw the transfer not to ask for a discount

I don't find it fishy at all. Some pages back I think someone joked about trading horses (because of the teeth), but the fact is that's exactly what the transfer market is. When a club puts a certain value on a player they don't just make it up out of thin air. When a player has a physical problem -- even if it's one that might only cause him problems in the future -- that drops the value of that player. It doesn't make the player any better or worse, but it makes him a risk. A club may be more willing to take a risk on a player if they don't have to use up so much of their budget, but anything that might make that player more of a gamble is naturally going to raise a caution flag. If a club's valuation of a player drops, for whatever reason, they aren't going to want to offer as much as they might have before.

He was just conducting a business deal. It's unfortunate that his condition wasn't disclosed at an earlier stage and the image of Milan has suffered. Have the exact clauses demanded by Galliani been disclosed?

This is random, but the band Creed has reunited after many years. Hooray!

Risk taking is different form 'give me a discount because I found a problem', the transfer should be off if he fails a medical.
Look at it from another angle, are you happy to pay 10 instead of 15 for a player who might have a problem? why is 10 ok exactly?

If we're gonna play with a 4-3-3 formation we are NOT covered with just 5 players, Mr. Galliani. Especially not when one of them (Ronaldinho) has only been healthy for about half a season each of his last two campaigns, another (Borriello) missed almost all of last season and probably the start of the next and yet another one (Pippo) will turn 36 before the start of the season.

Not to mention the fact that only one of these players (Dinho) are really suited to play on the wing. And even if Pato is trained to play wide, we still need backup players to cover the wide positions in a 4-3-3 setup.

Because you can use the other 5 to invest in other players to cover yourself. We're not talking about an obvious and current problem here, like a torn knee ligament. This is something that won't immediately affect his play, but could develop into a problem down the road. If Milan were to buy him, they'd still be getting an enormously talented player. But they'd be taking a risk that a problem could develop in the future. That's where risk assessment comes in. It's natural to be more willing to take that risk when you don't have so much invested.
